Hmmm.. I like the 64 Godzilla design just like I love the rest of them. The only thing that's kind of bothered me about the costume was his "wiggley" upper jaw/lip/snout (I think I read somewhere that this was caused from when Godzilla crashed in to the Osaka castle?), luckily they fixed that for Ghidorah, the Three Headed Monster.

Great reading on the subject of suits:

I don't like the "Mosu-Goji" suit too much (hell I don't even like the movie all that much), it's decent in my eyes. I like the Heisei suits better (to be more exact the GvsKG '91 suit is my all-time fav :D). As for the 2K series...well the GMK Godzilla-suit ranks as the ugliest so far..G2K/GxM/GxMG are all really the same in design aside from lil differences. As for Showa...I don't have really have a fav suit...

I like the Mosugoji suit, but my favorites would have to be a three way tie between the suits used for Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992), Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1993), and Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla.

The Mosugoji suit is easily one of my favorites.

Oh, I love those '70s suits, but I've never thought they looked like a puppy at all. Godzilla always had this look of grim determination in those films, especially the MechaGodzilla ones. As for the '63 one, I like that suit just fine. He looks just plain mean.

Y'nkow, I can't stand those suit names nowadays - they sound too much like cute little pet names, I think.

It's ok. It's not one of my favorites or anything but it isn't bad per say. It only looks awkward when it moves around too much and the overbite starts flopping around making it very obvious that it's a rubber suit. I think it's a huge improvement over the king-goji suit. The suit was in one very classic movie also. It may be more the movie itself why it's so loved more so than the design itself.

I agree, the eyes just make this design what it is...
