Honestly... I thought Man of Steel was pretty well done. I didn't hate it, but wasn't the greatest movie ever, a solid entertaining film IMHO, the PC character changes not withstanding. However... I think BvS is trying to do to much. It's trying to be "The Dark Knight Returns" which it isn't. It's trying to play Superman darker and more self righteous than he should be (though I honestly think he will be pretty well grounded, Batman attacks Supes because of how he think Superman reacts to all the hero worship, which isn't accurate) . Luthor's dialogue seems to be written decently, but I cant stand the actor, or his look in the film. Also this appears to be taking some queues from Captain America Civil War. Inciting the audience choose a side. Then there's Wonder Woman, who looks good, but who's purpose in this film is not known at this time. All that on top of comic book geeks that are waiting to rip Ben Affleck apart. I know they already did a pretty good job when the news first broke, but it will be an unholy wave of scathing reviews when this film comes out if Affleck messes this up.

Still I think WB was pretty smart in releasing this film in late March. It has the potential; to be the biggest film for 5 full weeks until Civil War comes out

Also...when Holly Hunter was speaking, all I heard was Elastigirl
There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

Everything I've seen from Batfleck so far looks good, and I could definitely see myself defending him while a whole horde of internets tries to run him down and saying he ruined the film and DC should have known better because of Daredevil, or some other such stupid thing.

But Doomsday? Looks like one of the trolls from LOTR wandered onto the set. Also, is the implication here that Doomsday is re-animated Zod? I'm not even a comic book fan, and that notion makes my head hurt.
Luthor? I thought the dialogue was horrid and Eisenberg looks like he's hamming it up because he realizes he's in a BAD movie, not because that's the character. Like an actor who's decided if he's gonna be in a terrible movie, he might as well have fun with it and be stupid over-the-top.
Wonder Woman? She's literally thrown in and nobody knows who she is. Such excitement!
I dunno...it's just not coming together and looks really poorly done.

I would MUCH rather have had a proper sequel to Man of Steel and a proper new Batman movie than this.

Wow, when I was told I was going to be watching the trailer for the movie, I didn't know I would be watching the whole movie. Everything I feared came true and more. Wonder Woman was shoehorned in just for the sake of it. Doomsday is in the movie with the ugliest live action representation of a comic character ever done. Oh, but the worst part is I had high hopes for Jesse Eisenberg as Lex and my god he is down right terrible. He did not even feel like Lex Luthor. It also did nothing to make me feel like Ben Affleck is Batman. The only thing I can say that I did like was the scene when Bruce and Clark were bantering back and forth.

I don't know if I necessarily agree with that article or not. Does the playing field need to be evened out a little... perhaps. But if you make comic book movies ONLY for kids, then you isolate several generations who grew up with the genre and end up with the garbage you have on CN. Supergirl is an amazing example of a positive *not grimdark* show that can be enjoyed by all audiences. Would a few more of these hurt? Not at all. But keep an even mix of dark films/TV/animation for the adult fans who enjoy those, and lighter material for children (and adults) to enjoy.

Basically all I want to see is an even playing field (unlike the article which requests an end to all adult oriented fare overall). it's just that I've been witness to several of my favorite genre's losing all their edge in the last 24 months, and now only being suitable for kids under 8. For adult fans, that's not much fun.

The damage control special told me nothing I didn't already know. Nor did it make me want to see these movies. I was really hoping they were going to give me something to make me rethink my position.

Oh, and once again they forgot there are other characters besides Joker, Harley, and Deadshot in the movie. Hell, they didn't even mention Katanna's name.

I don't know if it looks GOOD, but it definitely looks INTERESTING. If reviews lean mostly positive, I'll probably check it out.

Kain's complaints here are silly. They're showcasing their biggest STAR actors here, not the characters. That's how EVERY movie EVER is sold. This is like complaining that an Avengers trailer just shows Iron Man and ScarJo and they forget about Hawkeye.

Wow, they just moved JL Part 1, how dumb.

I'm pretty much convinced at this point that the cinematic universe is Earth 3.

The studio is reportedly so pleased with the supervillain pic that they don’t want to hesitate on the follow-up.

DC doesn't make sense. They straight out say it is another universe, but they forced the TV people to kill off Deadshot and Waller because they are going to be in the movies. They wouldn't allow them to bring Slade back because of the movies as well. Yet, they are spouting that they are separate universes so they can do different things. WTF?

Also, I don't get their reasoning. Bale could have played Batman in this new universe and it didn't have to be the Batman he played in the Dark Knight Trilogy.

Sounds like the Bat Embargo all over again -- back when WB/DC started running The Batman all the extended Batman comic characters (including villains) disappeared from Justice League/JL Unlimited. I believe I recall at the time people at WB claiming that no such "embargo" existed, and yet only Batman ever appeared on JL/JLU while The Batman was on. The only exception was an episode that tied up some loose ends for Batman Beyond which probably only happened because none of those characters were on The Batman.

It's so ridiculous.

Flash is gonna be in the movies, are they going to cancel his TV show? What if the movies want to used Green Arrow or Supergirl in a few years?
