Love the look. He's terribly disfigured. Can't wait to see the CGI version.

Wow! It's certainly... well, it's certainly something! Can't say I love it, and I can't say that some of those angles are flattering - but a monster prop has to be carefully shot and lit, etc. I can see how this will work. I does look a lot like Zornow's drawing.

The best picture, for me, is that extreme closeup showing the eye and teeth. That looks pretty cool to me.

The way the chest is protruding outward from the neck makes the whole thing look out of proportion, like the famous Liefeld drawing of Captain America. Other than that, there's not much to criticize, considering these are guerrilla photos of improperly lit props.

I think I could get with this design (though it will never be a favorite that I want on a lunchbox or something) if a bomb, or some sort of nuclear incident occurs and Godzilla is woken up in this state, pissed off and then goes beserk. If by the end of the film he resembles something closer to what we know and love I'll be more accepting of it.

Very conflicted about the look. The look is way too derivative.

Yeah-it's a little on the nose for what most people would think of in terms of a Godzilla design from the live action AoT team. Literally looks like a Titan version of Godzilla.

Aside from all the hubbub about the design, have any of these people working on the movie actually comment on whether they like the project so far?

I remember when Final Wars was being made and all the flack coming from people working on the movie on how it was turning out terrible and the FX department was being shorted money etc...

Godzilla changing his looks over the course of the movie is a pretty damn cool idea. If that's how its handled, I have no problem with it. Let's hope that's the case.
