Going back to KK vs G, I really have my doubts about shrinking Godzilla down to KK's size. That just makes no sense to me because one of the great things about Godzilla is that he's as tall as a skyscraper and is able to destroy cities and fight monsters who are the same size or bigger. I don't think Legendary will take that away from him. I mean that's why we love Godzilla, because he's so huge. It just makes more sense growing KK up to size since they've already done that in the '62 version.

The Kong in Skull Island may not even be the same Kong that fights Godzilla. Maybe there were an ancient species of super giant megaprimatus kong that existed, and they discover the last survivor in KK vs G, and that's the one who fights Godzilla.

Whatever explanation they come up with, it's just makes more sense and of course is a lot cooler having them both the same or almost the same size. Makes for a lot more satisfying and entertaining fight!

When I first saw the news of John Goodman landing a role my mind instantly went, "Yeah, he could play a good Kong." So now I'm just imagining Kong with Goodman's face running around and island screaming at dinosaurs.

As for Kong's size, being about the same size as the Male Muto would be just about perfect in my mind. I think it'd cool if in one of the movies Kong faces off against another Male Muto to show he can stand toe to toe with the same kind of foes Godzilla can.

So getting back to KKvG, I came up with a rather disturbing conclusion last night.

2014 - Legendary releases Godzilla.
2016 - Legendary releases King Kong, starring John Goodman.
-- John Goodman stars as a possible role as a MONARCH official, bridging Godzilla and Kong.
1980's-1990's - Goodman stars in Roseanne.
-- Roseanna features an Imperial Godzilla in the background for many, many episodes.

.... IT HAS BEEN IN THE WORKS FOR DECADES, PEOPLE!!!!

In the Skull Island thread I linked to a short, teaser synopsis of an earlier draft of the Kong screenplay that listed a mythical 'Titan' serum as the film's MacGuffin.

Does this plot device turn animals into prehistoric throwbacks? Can it turn an ape into a King Kong and then (maybe somehow I don't know) into an even bigger King Kong?!
