^Exactly. Animation spares us from the "joke" of "hilariously" bad special effects.

I think Parker and Stone know the line between having fun with their subject material and totally dumping on it. Case in point: "The Book of Mormon". And if you didn't laugh at the panthers in "Team America: World Police", I really gotta wonder about you.
