Women of Science Fiction Movies & TV

Postby gfan1984 » Mon Jul 27, 2015 3:32 pm

So I've been thinking about this for a while, I propose this topic on women of the science fiction and tv genre both classic movies and modern ones whether they made a career in science fiction or just one or two movies. For starters I'll list my favorite actresses from movies and tv. (Note if this topic already exists please redirect this)

Angela Cartwright (Penny Robinson from the tv series Lost In Space 1965-1968) I have to admit she was my fist tv crush growing up...but needless to say I found out that by this time (late 80s I was around 6) she was as old if not older than my parents

Raquel Welch (Loana from One Million Years BC) classic movie with a very iconic woman, though when I first watched this I was more concerned waiting for the dinosaurs to show up.

Julie Adams (Kay from Creature from the Black Lagoon) I must admit I always liked the swimming scene of her in this movie, and the creature seemed to like it too.

Joan Weldon (Dr. Patricia Medford from Them 1954) I liked her character n this, when she's first introduced her skirt gets stuck, both beautiful and an accomplished singer as well.

Linda Harrison (Nova from Planet of the Apes 1968) Though given no speaking role in the first movie, her stunning looks and expression are all that's needed in this classic film.

That's all I have for now, but what are all of your opinions of the various ladies of science fiction and tv?

Off the top of my head:

Lynda Carter as

Lindsay Wagner as

The late Caroline John as the Third Doctor's first companion
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?
