GODZILLA vs SPACE GODZILLA is far and away my least favorite of the Heisei series. I think it's a boring mess of a movie.

While I don't think they're bad films or the worst of the Heisei series, both GODZILLA(1984) and GODZILLA vs DESTOROYAH are disappointing IMO. G84 is dull (Godzilla's rampage in 1954 was soooo much more exciting). DESTOROYAH takes an idea that could have been amazing and doesn't quite pull it off. I agree with what Cousin and Rouge Message said about the film.

I've only seen three Heisei films and I can't say which one I thought was the worst because I really liked them. In fact, I grew up with only three Godzilla films, which were Gojira '54, Godzilla 1985 and Godzilla vs. Biollante (I only saw Godzilla vs. Destroyah a couple of weeks ago, and I've yet to see the rest).

So having only seen these films, I'd set my standards a little too high and thought every other Showa film that I saw when I was about 15 or 16 was a hunk of crap.

Well, naturally it was EDITED, but BY an editor? It seems like they just grabbed the gaffer or someone, handed him a machete, and said "get this thing down to 90 minutes."
