Not Godzilla related, BUT relevant to MANY a toy collector here.

YO.

So guess what's getting reissued?!

Yeah. That's right. Time to catch up on figures I missed out on.

Got mine yesterday as well. Doesn't beat the Rebirth Godzilla in my mind.

The sculpt of the G2KSCV is great but man, the fact that he always has to be hunched over really damages my overall enthusiasm for the figure. Don't regret getting him though.

I think the last foreseeable Monsterarts figure for me will be the Spitfire G 14...here's hoping they finally get that figure right and there's no sloppy paint.

i wish they would redo a couple of things on the G'64. That sculpt is so wonderful, but the articulation choices are so bizarre.

While most of you were hanging around G-Fest I'm guessing, or simply preoccupied by SDCC, this popped up on the Tamashii website internally.

Looks like we're getting a new release of Heisei King Ghidorah of... some sort. I didn't want to hotlink to the original pic, but you can still see the works. Picture is the same kind that would be used on the Tamashii frontpage, probably for a future announcement on the line.

Interesting...

If its a remold or update, I may be interested. But more than anything, I'm just happy my cousin would be able to get a King Ghidorah.

I'm gonna laugh if it comes with with a Godzillasaur accessorie

They should just change the name to SH MonsterRepaints.

I'm a little annoyed that these reissues are better than the first releases with regards to accessories.

I don't know that there's specific word on the wing joints, and bear in mind I don't own an original KG to compare, but I've seen people cite that the old KG can't move its necks as well as this one is shown doing, which would point to some retooling. If that's the case, that would suggest better wing joint engineering happened too.

If it wasn't for the beam colors being the art poster version and not three yellow ones, or including two extras in yellow, this release would completely supplant the original.

I can get a lot of motion and poses out of my Ghidorah's neck. You just need to not be afraid to have the joints pop out in the process while doing it.

However, what is shown in their promos and on the box is not always possible no matter how hard you try.

Prime example is this pose with RyuuRanger:

Image

That is from the promo shot, but in reality, the only reason this looks like it:

is because it is from the far side. The Arms can NOT move any where near as close together as the promo shot makes it look like it can.

Here is another one I kind of hid how it actually looks with the fire effectL

Hey all, I just picked up the SH MonsterArts Godzilla Millennium from G-FEST, and I'm having a bugger of a time trying to attach the tale to the body. Apologies if someone went over this already in one of the earlier thread pages, but could anyone offer some advice to make this work a bit more smoothly? I don't want to end up pushing the two pieces in so hard I break a leg -- literally (well, Godzilla's, not mine, but still...). Thanks!
