DBZ, the version you refer to is pretty much lost. It hasn't been seen since I THINK the late 80's. All versions (TV and otherwise) floating around nowadays is the video version, which was cut to hell.

Stupid being aired at friggin 2:00AM!
How was the editing? It didn't look too obviously edited.....I did notice though when they see the Super Sonic Beam Device with its wires cut, I THINK he wasn't gonna say "damn..." But then the audio completely muted out at one point in his sentence.
Anyway aside from color problems, the print wasn't too bad.....Unlike Mothra, and MZ, this print wasn't nearly as scratched.

I could tell it was seriously edit. The music like stops and changes flow way too much in some scenes. Noticably towards the end, and Katsura's death seems weird unless you have seen the original print.
