Looks like less of a Jurassic Park movie and more like a monster movie. At the moment, I'm okay with that. We'll see where it goes.

^I think neither of the sequels were able to approach the balance the original film had and only excelled when they just did fun stuff with dinosaurs.

And 'fun stuff with dinosaurs' seems to be this film's M.O.! Everything we've seen of this film seems to point towards it being an goofy B-movie with millions behind it.

As long as I can enjoy it more than JP3, which I do like, I'll be happy.

I'll go see it, but I have no expectations for this movie. The riding with the CGI raptors scene looks pretty awful. Not to mention they de-saturated the colors like almost every other movie.

If Pratt starts to dance to a 1970s tune, and asks the raptors to join him, then I'm outta there!

I love the different stylings of the raptors. Can NOT wait for this movie. Already got my IMAX 3D tickets.

I'm starting to worry about the number of dinosaurs jammed into each shot... i never thought i'd worry about too many dinosaurs.

I don't think I've seen a practical dinosaur effect. Unless you count the tooth Pratt pulls out of that sphere.

^Is that closeup of the Indominus Rex's eye through the foliage practical?

BTW, 'Indominus Rex' is totally a Mad Max name.

I'm hoping that the practical stuff is just not showing up in the trailer. I imagine if the dinosaurs are directly interacting and biting folk that we'll see more practical stuff.

I don't know, maybe that's just me being hopeful.

I think Colin Trevorrow wants to direct the Star Wars movie that Josh Trank got fired from.

Why are they already planning a sequel when the first one... er fourth one is not even out yet?

The problem is a lot of these movie that announce sequels before the movie comes out ends up meaning the movie itself is not made for a single story, but ends on a cliff hanger. TASM2 is a prime example of this.

That's not necessarily true, though. You can say you want sequels and set off with that mind set and still make movies that serve as complete stories unto themselves.

Godzilla 2014 is a prime example. Nothing about it needs a sequel or anything, but we heard about it before the movie came out. Tons of movies that way, honestly...TASM2 is just a terrible movie.
