Another Hong Kong voice actor who lent his talents to several Godzilla films has been identified. (Thanks to Jules Carrozza and HK dubber Warwick Paul Evans.)

Warren Rooke: probably best known to all of us as the voice of Dr. Shirigami in Godzilla vs. Biollante and Hiroshi in Godzilla vs. Megalon. , Mr. Rooke and his wife have lived in Macau since 1994. Prior to that, Rooke came to Hong Kong from Australia in 1964 and began working at Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), which is probably how he got involved with film dubbing.

Matthew Oram, another classic Hong Kong voice actor, has been identified. Thanks again to Jules Carrozza and Warwick Evans. According to Evans, Oram ran his own dubbing company that competed with Ted Thomas's during the '70s and '80s.

This is really cool. Rival dubbing studios eh? Sounds better than Frontier (save for their Jun Fukuda Godzilla movies) thats for sure.

^I believe that music is actually extrapolated from some of Ifukube's non-soundtrack work, probably predating both Godzilla '54 and that '48 film. Ifubuke sampled liberally from his classical music composing. It's quite a trip to listen to that work when you're familiar (as we all are) with his movie scores. You're listening to something new (to you) and then it becomes the theme from Ghidorah for 20 seconds before becoming something else entirely!
