I don't really regret this purchase. Still waiting in line for that Mecha King Ghidorah. :)

What is that trading-card looking thing sitting in front of the fiery Godzilla background?

Wow that looks awesome! How much was it again? I was really interested but was turned off by the price. I might regret that decision...

Thanks canofhumdingers! I paid $260 for the set and shipping was $41, a total of $311. Was it worth it? I'll just say the building dioramas and the props are highly detailed. The windows are painted a high gloss clear black that actually imitates real windows. You get one ruined building and its incredibly detailed. I wished it came with two sets of buildings, one set normal and a second identical set of destroyed buildings. One gripe with me is that it comes with 8 types of lighting lamps but only four are equipped to light up while the other four are just dummy lights to fit the movie set which will need a mod if you want all lights functioning because Bandai provided holes and inserts. Other than that, with the right camera and lighting, you can mimic the movie and shows of the '60s. Here is a vid I made testing it out. Sorry no sound. I was gonna make the sound effects but my app doesn't allow music mixing :?

This one is quite solid, honestly. I think the tampo stuff isn't able to stand up to scrapes and scratches as well as modern lego minifigs. The head is made out of a softer material, but it's not poorly put together or anything.

Although, even if it were, it's kind of neat just to have it.

that studio diorama is high on my list of super cool toys related to the Genere. You really have to be a fan to understand how interesting it is. It really is outstanding. It is too high end for me though.
