New Toho Godzilla Series after Legendary

It's crazy how many people keep talking about what time period this movie is going to be set, and how often setting it in the past is brought up. Every single Godzilla movie is forward-thinking, and not a one takes place in the past aside from prologue or flashbacks. Toho is going to want this movie to appeal to the widest possible demographic - ESPECIALLY teenagers and children. I can see this movie trying it's damnedest to be as modern and badass as possible to win back the kids and sell the most merchandise,

Should Godzilla fight another monster in this film would you want it to a new monster or an update on an old monster? If they go the latter route I wouldn't mind seeing Biollante, Space Godzilla or even Megalon return, but knowing Toho we'll get KG, Mothra, Rodan or MG.

It would be nice if Toho decided to revive an old monster other than Mothra or King Ghidorah (or Mechagodzilla). Normally I wouldn't mind seeing Rodan in a new Toho entry because that character has only been in two movies since the '60s, but with Legendary set to update the character in a few years, I'd rather Toho bring back a lesser-used monster like Varan, Manda, Battra, or Hedorah.

I doubt Toho would do that, though, so if they do give Godzilla a monstrous opponent in the new movie, I hope they go with an original kaiju over KG/Mothra/Rodan/MG.

I'd love to see some of Godzilla's lesser-seen rogues get another shot at the big G...Anguirus as an enemy, Varan, Baragon, Hedorah, Gigan, Biollante.

Switch up Biollante's character, even. Make her a spore that comes from space or something. With that particular film's apparently huge popularity in Japan at the moment, she might make for a foe that Japanese audiences would turn out for big time AND we've only seen her once before.

Failing that, I'd prefer to see a new creation over Mothra or KG or MechaGodzilla. I get that you kinda basically can't go through an era of Godzilla without those three all rearing their heads at some point, but it'd be nice not to see them brought back RIGHT AWAY.
