Basically, "Sony gets to keep Spider-Man but they're gonna just ask Marvel what they should do so they stop screwing the pooch"

If Sony takes Avi Arad off of Spider-man, i will feel a little better about the Sony pictures... until then, in my mind it's like during "Man of Steel" when they said Christopher Nolan was helping steer Zack Snyder... I still like Nolan films overall and still think "Man of Steel" is mess of a film largely due to Zack Snyder

I am. I hope Sony's god-awful-sound Sinister Six project is DEAD. Sinister Six anti-heroes who are introduced to film BEFORE they are introduced properly as Spider-Man villains? MADE BY SONY? I dare anybody to think long and hard about that and say it would have come out good.

Well this is Sony Pictures, the execs. that approved development of the Sinister 6 movie were probably the same ones that approved of giving Seth Rogan the reigns to the Green Hornet movie.

I hope this means that all plans Sony had have been scrapped. After ASM2, I was only keen on seeing the sequels because I like watching train wrecks.

This is horse****. I no longer see any reason to get invested in a Spider-Man movie when they are going to keep changing the actor playing him on me. ASM2 sucked, but Garfield and Stone were fantastic and did what they had to work with well. They had amazing chemistry together. Now we have to start over after just 4 years? **** THAT!!!!

In any case. Reboot is happening. Marvel is involved. Andrew and his TASM Series buddies are out. And that is all a FACT.

Some news from IGN:

-Arad will be on as a producer but have NO creative control at all
-Sinister Six and other Spidey spin offs are still in the works for now.
-Marvel gets not cut of the Sony movie, Sony gets no cut of the Marvel movies that Spidey is in.
-Some are predicting this is away for Marvel to get Spidey back or for Disney to buy Sony Pictures should it go on the market.

I predict by 2025 Disney will own everything...even DC. DC vs Marvel anyone?

But seriously. Everyone just pause for a minute. Marvel has the rights to Spidey, the UNDISPUTED FACE OF MARVEL. Has anyone just taken a moment to bask in the fact that this is happening?

Unless WB goes under no they won't own DC because Warner Bros owns DC.

Any ways I'm glad Spidey is part of the Marvel universe now I'm sure them and Sony can cook up some really good Spidey films. I enjoyed the two ASM movies but their was need for improvement in both of them.
