New Toho Godzilla Series after Legendary

If they're going to release the movie in Nov/Dec, then an announcement would need to be made pretty soon.

Not this year. Next year. Remember the year of release will be 2016. They'll need that time to determine their approach (CGI or conventional) and then outsource the work accordingly.

I have a strong feeling they'll try to release Godzilla 2016 during that Summer. I'm starting to get a little anxious now about hearing or reading some news about this upcoming movie. It's been real quiet since they announced that Godzilla was coming back. No director news, no cast news, no script or plot news, nothing. I realize these things take time, but give us something.

I remember when Toho announced Godzilla vs Destroyah in the winter of 1995, and most of us didn't even see what the monster suits even looked like until sometime in the fall. Hell, Junior was kept a secret up until the movie came out.

I wonder how some of you guys would have survived...

I just hope that Legendary series allows breathing room for more fantastical elements. I would greatly dislike a non-mythological/magical Mothra. And I prefer Ghidorah to have an non-terrestrial origin.

Another idea I had is it taking place way back in the past like in the 1800's. This way he could do MUCH more damage to humanity as a whole they wouldn't have as much defense.

Another thing is. I think whatever time period they decide to put this film in they should have no other biological monsters. It should just be Humans vs Godzilla for the entire film. If they make sequels maybe they can introduce artificial monsters like giant robots or cyborgs(Mecha Godzilla, Jet Jaguar, Moguera, etc). Since Legendary is doing the whole Vs. Monster thing with Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah. I imagine Toho would stay out of the Vs Monster and do Vs. Human films. Because it wouldn't make much sense to have both Toho and Godzilla using Mothra in a film. It'd just feel lazy. Like that time they had two Hercules films in the same year.
