GF got a call from her Doctor's office. They found shadows in her last scan and want her to call tomorrow to discuss going back on chemo. I know it's probably the best thing to be done, but I know it's the last thing she wants to do. And this really screws up any plans we had lined up. Trip to Shed's Aquarium in March for her birthday? Probably not happening. Another chemo free summer filled with trips to Lake Michigan, not likely.

And she found out about it while she was at work, right as I was going to work. So there's bugger-all I can do to comfort her until tomorrow. She also didn't want to tell anyone yet (probably waiting until after the call). I almost called my mom, but my brother is proposing to his girlfriend this Friday and I don't want to taint that happiness with this news so freaking soon.

I generally like roller coasters but emotional roller coasters can just suck a big frothy bowl of dongs.

I feel like crying and cursing and screaming but I'm at work, dealing with the general "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" public. So I'm spending 12 hours lying to everyone about how I am today.

Today was one of those days at work I had to move a bunch of old dusty boxes filled with old cell contracts around so that's probably going to cause a sinus infection being exposed to all that dust. Then I got left by myself a good chunk of the night finally I pulled my phone out to check something and the phone slipped out of my hand and the screen cracked.

<begin rant>

Today started off on the wrong foot.

I checked my back account and noticed that X Box live charged me 10 bucks....except I cancelled the account a month ago. The sheer annoyance of dealing with any customer service reps is beyond infuriating. To make matters worse, I don't remember which email account I used because Microsoft requires you to use one of their email accounts and I'm not home to log into the X Box to check...and my primary email is through gmail. I called X Box and they can remove my credit card from the account but cannot refund my credit card charge because they can't see my account info...

So wait, they can see my credit card but they can't see what account it's attached to? And they can't refund the charge?

How dumb is that?

So now I get to spend my time trying to fix their mistake. Yayyyyy me....

Oh but it gets better. I forgot to send my Gamefly game back after I cancelled my account. Blarg...I can easily send the game back, but they're requesting a tracking number for it. Gamefly doesn't even ship these games out with a tracking number, but they want me to spend my money to provide them with one?

Grrrr.

So recently I did an audition-y kind of thing and was asked to sign with an acting agency. So, I go out of my way, drive up there, and I have a complete mental breakdown (these have become more common since I've been teaching) I freak out, can't contact anyone I know that could possibly calm me down. So, instead of sitting there and calming myself down I immediately turn around and drive back to KY. So that's it, the end of that possible escape from this shithole of a life I've eked out here.

Well, I didn't get accepted into the PhD programmed I applied for. I made it to the interview process, but that was it.

We have had to say goodbye to our family dog today. He was ours for 16 human years, and he always brought his warming presence and a little bit of noise wherever he went. It's going to feel colder and too much quieter without him in my world.

Yesterday was kind of okay (My X-Plus Gorosaurus arrived), but on the other hand my Therapist keeps suggesting hospitalization. The thing is, I don't have many sick days, and while it's probably for the best I can't help but think it's going to be more stressful than everything else I've got going on. I mean, I recognize that my self-harming myself on a regular basis is probably not the best, but I know what that can do and where it can lead. Hospitalization just feels so, I don't know, just too many variables. Too far out of my comfort zone. I think the other problem is that I just don't think I want to avoid this becoming worse. I kind of feel like suicide would be better for me.

Blech.

Sometimes I feel like I just can't catch a break. This past weekend I went up to my friend's cabin for a fishing trip when we left everything that could go wrong did go wrong but we still managed to salvage the trip. Last night I don't know what happened but I was just in a mood where I didn't want to do anything. I was antisocial to my cousin and our friend and so on. Also as you may know I've been having care issues and such as well as money issues so that's weighing heavy on me. I'm not on the best of terms with my family though today we where all pretty sociable which brings me to my next point. As soon as I got to my parents house I wondered where their other dog Spuds was come to find out they put her down and didn't bother telling me so. Originally the dog was my sisters but she ended up bonding with me more so she became my dog in a sense and that was pretty hard as well.

So yeah 2015 you aren't off to a very good year so you can start getting better any time now. This is easily the worst year I've had since 2008.

Hit a deer. Trip to G-Fest may not be happening now. May actually just have to get another car, honestly.

Not specific to this day, but job wise, this has been a pretty ****ty summer. I have applied to 219 teaching positions since April and have only received 1 interview. Usually by now I have had at least 10 interviews. It sucks and I'd rather not move, but I'm going to start applying for out of state licenses to various states like Texas and California so I can apply for jobs in other states and if I get one, we'll move. This upcoming school year I'm going to save up half of my income for expenses we might have such as travel costs for interviews and if I do land a job, moving costs. God this is so frustrating. I've come to learn that CO is the WORST state to not only try to find a teaching job, one of the worst states for teacher pay, but is also one of the states with the most lax requirements to get a license that the testing I have done here is pretty much invalid in every other state (Praxis I and II).

The New York Stock Exchange has mysteriously stopped working; United Airlines has grounded all flights; and, most importantly, The Dissolve, the movie review site that's unquestionably the greatest pop-culture site on the internet has shut down for good.

Clearly, things are collapsing and we're headed for Mad Max times.

long story short, my wife was kinda on my ass today...then at dinner time, I was actually gonna make some chili cheese fries because she was craving them, but our favorite place for them is closed on Sundays, but my daughter was just NOT receptive to me putting her down. So, I figured I could take out my phone to look up the recipe. And my wife was like "Ugh...put the phone away." and I was like "Listen, I'm doing something. I have a plan here, but she won't let me put her down right now." and my wife just gave me this LOOK...this look that said, "Yeah. I don't buy it." and a bit more...and I snapped at her.

Now, I feel bad for yelling at her (though I didn't actually say anything about HER...I just rather angrily said, "I'm trying to get some food together but it's hard to do with one hand...or maybe I should just do nothing at all and you can eat nothing") but I'm actually pretty pissed/hurt about her essentially not believing me when I said I had a plan and wanted to do something but my daughter was being a bit of a pill, and I want a darn apology.

This is f'ing ridiculous!!! I finished my review of the King Kong remakes and it was immediately claimed by Universal with a worldwide block for 22 seconds of footage. I cut that scene down to 8 seconds, re-rendered it, re-uploaded it, and then they claimed it for a DIFFERENT scene in the video. WTF!!!?? Fair use allows me to use up tot 30 seconds of unspliced footage. This is getting tiresome. I'm about to go on a full Universal boycott from any of their movies from now on.

EDIT: I am now working on my fourth re-edit because now Universal is blocking the review for movie footage that has my own voice over the audio. You know what, this is what I get for seeing their piece of **** Jurassic World movie twice. They can take all of their planned sequels and shove them up their asses. They can take all of the Universal Monster stuff and shove them as well. This company is run by complete dickwads with the heads so far up their asses it is amazing they are even able to produce a single movie.
