Are we sure Gareth is the best person to direct a Star Wars movie? I mean his style of directing seems less Action Packed Scifi Adventure like star wars and more Fantasy Genre like lord of the rings.

Fantasy Genre is more so mythical creatures with an extensive past/ancient connection. Something magical or involving nature in some cases like Elves or Pixies. When I saw Godzilla 2014 I thought of Godzilla as a mythological creature in the Legendary Universe.

Scifi Adventure is more futuristic space journey's with extremely futuristic technology and most commonly robots pr aliens. In some cases both. Something like Star Wars or Transformers.

Nothing I've seen from Gareth Edwards suggests he isn't a skilled director. He may not be a complete auteur like Scorsese or Tarantino, but as long as he's working with a solid script, there's no reason to think Gareth Edwards lacks the chops to make a Star Wars movie. We're talking about STAR WARS here, people, a franchise that has been flawed since day 1 and has had mediocre to BAD directing since the third film (a film which I enjoy, but has some raging issues). It's not like Gareth Edwards is being tapped to make another Godfather movie...

Hey as long as the mask on I could care less who plays Boba Fett. What I'm more concerned about is the fact that in addition to the new trilogy and the Gareth and Trank Spin Offs we have 5 new Star Wars films coming.

Which terrfies me because I know for a fact they haven't planned them all out.

To insinuate that you could just stick "anyone" into a Boba Fett mask and be happy is to dismiss the work of suit actors. Fasbender would be a great choice as anyone who's seen Frank could testify. That wasn't my favorite movie ever or anything, but Fasbender gives an awesome performance without showing his face for 95% of the movie.

Ah yes, let's have an European actor replace a character that was played by an actor of native Maori decent. It should go over just as well as Scar Jo being cast in Ghost in the Shell, right?

All sarcasm aside, as long as the actor fits the roll, I'll be alright with it. Although it makes me wonder if the Mouse House will be as OCD as Lucas and have the new Fett redub the role n Empire again.

I'm not sure what matters more. That they have this movie scripted perfectly or that they have the right actors to do the script justice.

Sources say that Aaron Paul and Edgar Ramirez are on the interest list for the male lead.
