I've only seen the first one and even for "so dumb it's fun" it's a bore. Barely any of the characters are wild or memorable, unless they die rather quickly, which is what makes many of these kinds of movies great. Sharktopus is by far more entertaining than Sharknado because it's bad acting is campy bad acting, intentional or not. Hell I saw Sharkando riffed and my god it was still a chore to sit through.

I kind of hate that it has become a "thing". Of all the low budget "insane-o titled" dreck that gets into the public eye it had to be this charmless, unentertaining bore of a movie. There are so many other Z-grade movies that are way more entertaining than this.

The only way to make a movie that's intentionally bad but... well, good, is to have something legitimately interesting and good buried inside the cheese: a great performance, a really cool monster, clever comedy, ect.

Watched the first, haven't watched the second. Not surprised there's gonna be a third. I still can't believe that movies like these get good ratings on SyFy. But they do.
