Apparently they did. I stand corrected (although it looks like all of the companies involved were still Japanese...*shrug*).

...And that reminds me, I haven't actually seen Space Battleship Yamato yet. I should do something about that soon.

Some one on facebook said that an official Godzilla twitter account from Toho tweeted the image originally. I don't use twitter other than to follow my girlfriend's account, so if someone can verify that info that'd be great.

So this image is official I take it...in that case, I sincerely hope TOHO puts more effort into this upcoming film than they did with this photo, as it looks like something a kid would put together in a computer science class. Lame...

It's just a little graphic to go along with their announcement released in December. Nothing worth the critique at the moment.

So, when should we expect a director announcement from Toho with filming happening in the summer? I don't remember how Toho handles announcements like that.

They're pushing for a 2016 release. But did they ever say what part of 2016? I thought I saw January mentioned somewhere.

The summer holiday release date of Godzilla '14 did so well for them, I wonder if the won't try to replicate it.
