i know i'm beating a dead horse at this point, but the Larva set is my favorite thing in this series since Space Godzilla.

Some beam fun:

The white beams actually aren't all that bad looking in person. I at least prefer it on some of my Godzillas compared to the red beam. It would be nice if they were to give us some blue ones though. Maybe I should paint one of them...

Anyway:

My entire MonsterArts collection at this point in time:

Nice. The comic shop that is across my apartment is going to have the special effect pack as well and I might grab it tomorrow if I can. I can picture Destroyorah saying "Your not a monsterart" with it's expression.

How much did that glass container cost you? I want to get something simpler for my figures.

Really need to get my hands on the effect sets. Curse having biweekly paychecks! I might paint one of the beams blue myself, haven't done any customizing in some time. Would be pretty simple to do too.

I think the Larval set is gonna be my next SHMA. Along with the effect sets. Then probably buy another set of shelves cause I'm running out of damn room.

Actually, I was just going to lightly put the blue color I already have on the beam to be more like highlights than just fully painting it. The beams and the movies were still white in the center with blue around it, so I was going to try to mimic that look.

BTW, I don't know why, but after 8 months I have fallen in love with the G2K figure. In fact, I think I might even like him more than Adult Jr and I'm not sure why. He does not have the standard look for Godzilla.

Godzilla 2000 is a solid mold, and still my favorite of the Godzilla figures released so far. A Kiryu Goji, or Wakasa Ver. makes me excited if it ever happened. He's pretty hefty too, and I really like the range of motion the tail can get.

Sorry to hear about the Kong. Which part of the joint broke? Maybe some Sugru or Loctite Plastic Repair can help?

From what I've seen that's a common problem with Kong. I'm sure there's a way to fix it.

I have a question that I have to ask and I apologize if this has been asked before but how do you tighten the joints on the SH Monsterarts figures. Any help would be appreciated.

So I haven't taken the usual Darkness Collection photo of my G14 because I plan to touch it up, but here's a few photos I grabbed for fun.

Cool.

My Larva set will be here in about 2 hours, but in the mean time, I wanted to do something to mimic one of my favorite scenes from G2000.

EDIT:

They arrived:

Godzilla (2014) Darkness update!

Image

Since the last batch of photos uploaded, this one has been touched up with some paint on the teeth, snout, and chin. It looks pretty good with a little enhancements!

I only bought the Evolution set when Midtown Comics dropped the price to $50. Otherwise I wasn't going to touch it.

Is there a reason why the price on Kiryu Heavy Arms version increased on Amazon already? I see it listed as anywhere between 165 to 200 :S And I don't see it listed for pre-order there anymore, it's listed as if its been released already.

Did it really go out of sale that fast?
