That's a teenager being a teenager, I don't see the big deal. Rob Zombie's teen girls in his first film feel more like real teenagers than 95% of teens in slasher movies across the whole genre.

"The First Must See Zombie Film in a Hell of a Long While" has been the tag line of like every zombie movie released in the last few years. The last truly good non-comedy zombie movie was the 2003 Dawn of the Dead (and even then, it is subjective). Afterwards, the only good ones are comedies like Zombieland, Shaun of the Dead, Fido, and Zombies of Mass Destruction.

The Battery is good. VERY good. And on a budget of only about $6,000, VERY impressive. You can also view it for less than the price of the blu-ray at watch.thebatterymovie.com and the whole $5 goes to the filmmakers. I'd label it MUST-SEE for genre fans simply because it's so well-done on such a shoe-string budget, we all should really be supporting stuff like this from ambitious independent filmmakers.

Kinda like the reason everyone should have seen Monsters back when that was new, except The Battery is a a better film.

Just put an order in for the following films

Image
This is a film I've probably seen a 100 times and I am surprised I don't previously own it.

Image
This is probably my favorite David Fincher film. The cinematography to this film is top notch.

Image
These is another film I am surprised I don't own. Its my 3rd favorite film noir film, behind Maltese Falcon and Blade Runner and its my favorite Neo-noir film. Jack Nicholson is amazing in this.

Image
This is my favorite non-Sergio Leone Spaghetti western and after the Fistful of Dollars trilogy is probably the most influential. I know there is a lot of anime that borrow from this movie. Its definitely a favorite of mine.

^I'm not sure if Best Buy is actually running a sale on this, but just put in the wrong UPC and that's why there were issues when I checked out...or if they just mis-marked this thing, but it was $30.
So, it was advertised on the shelf "Chucky Blu-Ray Collection $29.99" but it rang up as $54.99...and then the UPC on the collection didn't match the one on the sale tag...but I made them honor it anyway because it quite clearly said "Blu-Ray"
Long story short, Best Buy MIGHT be running a sale on this right now, if you're interested in getting it at $30, which is a better price than I've seen it for anywhere.

Image
Also $30 at Best Buy.

Also, I saw the Dracula and Frankenstein "Complete Legacy Collection" DVD sets (the newer ones) for $16. But I'm a little unsure if I should get them. I own NONE of the movies in any format whatsoever...but I also don't know if I should hold out hope for a blu-ray collection of all the universal monster stuff....

Yes I know, I had $10 to burn at best buy or else it would have expired before something actually came out that I wanted to use it on so I got the movie for $12 instead of $22 that's with the 3D version as well.

I found a King Kong vs. Godzilla BD in the $7.88 bin at Walmart and couldn't resist considering Best Buy has the same disc for $20. I also got the Universal Frankenstein Legacy Collection for $20. at Walmart. Now I can toss those old VHS recordings from MonsterFest.
