Having re-watched Episodes 4 and 5 (Despecialized) recently, I'm back to a place where I like Star Wars again.

Did you watch his most recent versions (2.5 for Star Wars and 2.0 for Empire)? They are spectacular and quite significant improvements. ESB 2.0 just came out recently and it's wonderful. It even includes some shots sourced from 35mm film where laserdisc was previously the highest quality source...

I don't have the patience or desire to keep up with every fan edit out there. I think what I have are old laserdisc rips and that's all I've ever cared to seek out.

Oh when you said Despecialized, I thought you specifically meant Harmy's Despecialized Editions. They're really not hard to find and there's another site that makes it very easy to find out when there's an update (you can even sign up for a newsletter so you don't have to track it yourself at all). And seeing the original versions in high quality is really an eye opening experience if you're used to the quite horrendous laserdisc transfers... And they're not really fan edits. They're darn near professional restorations of the original theatrical cuts using the highest quality sources that private individuals have been able to acquire.

Maybe I'll get on tracking those down then...I do really like that original trilogy, despite essentially loathing just about EVERYTHING that has come in its wake.

I have Harmy's Despecialized Editions. I acquired them years ago after becoming aware that they existed, and I'm sure there are better versions out now, but despite that the versions I have are spectacular. I heavily recommend them. I followed the OriginalTrilogy.com forum discussions around that time too, and its eye-opening how hard the fandom there is working to restore the theatrical versions.

Eh, that's rather uninspired.

I think that might be the worst title since The Phantom Menace. I know a lot of people hated the title Attack of the Clones, but I always liked it in a throwback to 50's b-movies kinda way. Too bad it's the absolute worst Star Wars movie and one of the worst movies ever, IMO.

The name sounds good to me. It leaves a mystery that is going to keep people talking for the next 13 months as what that title means, if anything at all. Maybe it reawakens because without the Sith, there can be no Jedi. Maybe it just means Luke starts training other people in its ways. Who knows, who cares, just give me a well written movie like we got with the last two Star Treks.
