I checked Twilight Time's facebook to see which of their Blu-Rays are almost gone. I made sure to get these two before they became OOP!

Also got this while it was 56% off on amazon:

I've not been thrilled with DeepDiscount's shipping, for whatever that's worth. I understand I've chosen the free shipping option, but before I got Prime, I used to do Super Saver shipping for Amazon all the time and it was much faster than DeepDiscount has been, on three separate shipments thus far, so I don't feel like it's one isolated incident.

Shipped: September 5. STILL not here...what in the blue blazes? I wonder if I ordered this via Pony Express?

Godzilla 3D set. Probably the last DVD/BD purchase until X-men next month.

Those Sony Harryhausen discs are going out of print... but it seems Mill Creek is going to re-release them as double features without the colorized versions (and, I think, without the special features).

We have to return the Chucky set though as Amazon for some retarded reason shipped it in an envelope and it got crushed. I opened it up and had a light rain storm of plastic disc tray pieces.

Tons of characters in his first film are likable: Laurie, Annie, Sheriff Brackett, Tommy Doyle, and McDowell is awesome as Loomis.

The second film is CERTAINLY much more cynical, but Annie and Brackett are awesome again.

If you can't see that, you're just letting the things you hate about the movies bog down your opinions. I just spent a week watching all these movies and then discussing them AT LENGTH for an upcoming podcast, and I feel even more confident that Zombie's got two of the stronger entries in the series.

The only character from RZ's Halloween movies that are worth remembering are Joe Grizzly and Danielle Harris' tits. And poor Malcolm McDowell, anytime he's cast in something he should be great in, it turns his role into crap. Loomis isn't supposed to be a hack, the fact that this great psychologist fears at the release of this "man" is what's supposed to help kindle the awe of fright in The Shape.

Honestly, with his "hellbilly" sensibilities he should have done the Texas Chainsaw remake than Halloween.
