My only problem with Fire Rodan is that the very tip of his tail falls off without exception.

I'm not big on Fire Rodan itself. I skipped him. But having seen the redecoed version of that sculpt I think it makes the design much nicer and something I would pic up.

Movie G2K is a pickup for sure. Rose Biollante... hmm... I wouldn't. For a second I thought the silhouette for G2K was KiryuGoji. I liked him a lot.

Me personally, I really dislike the GMK Godzilla and all the Kiryu Godzilla designs from the Millennium series. Just didn't do it for me.

Kiryu Goji is a misnomer for me. I used to participate in the Daikaiju Dessumacchi tournament at Kaijuphile and doing that actually made me more fond of him. He looks fantastic in some of the movie stills, but then you have pics like this:

Or this:

His head sometimes looks like a bird beak is trying to escape his neck.

The suit itself just seemed stiff and plasticy.

So I got my Godzilla Jr and to say I am slight disappointed is an understatement.

Here is why:

His body is made of the same soft cheap plastic of G2K, so parts are constantly falling off or moving around like there is no tomorrow. I cannot get his neck to stay in place. The foot keeps falling out every time I tilt him forward (in fact, it was apart when I opened him). The tail is so loose in the middle joint that it cannot stay up in the air for more than 2 seconds. And I cannot get the left leg to stop popping out of the joint every time I want to move it around. Oh, and the body constantly comes apart. Worst part is, Amazon won't even let me exchange him for a new one. WTF?!

Now when I can get him to not fall apart, the sculpt is great. Here are some pictures I took:

Yeah, Amazon won't make an exchange because they sold out of what they had. Nothing to exchange it with. Try again next week.

I’d consider Biollante rose form due to the obscurity alone. I already have Fire Rodan, so this might be an easy pass for me. Godzilla 2000 is another figure I’m interested in, depending on the sculpt.

That sucks Kain.

Mine is fine. I did knock off the foot once and it was severely annoying to get that fixed, but once I did it was fine. The sculpt is really, really good.

My KG has loose wings. Rodan's tail popped off. I've had joint issues with G64. SG's tail pops off every once and awhile.

But I guess all that comes with the territory...I still love these figures despite some issues I've had with them.

Godzilla 64 doesn't have any issues for me, but King Ghidorah has near universal wing problems. Very annoying. I hope those issues are fixed in future Ghidorah releases. It'd be a shame if Mecha King Ghidorah or a potential Grand Ghidorah has problems in the wings.

Maybe I have one of the few Fire Rodans with the correct sort of tolerance in the tail ball joints. I've never had problems with anything on that figure falling apart.

Real shame to hear about Kain's Godzilla. It probably won't, those kinds of spectacular failures are typically the exception rather than the rule, but if mine turns out that poorly, it goes back to Amazon for a refund, screw waiting on a replacement. On the other hand, SHF Kamen Rider Hibiki has a similar issue with the ease with which the figure could come apart, with lots of Japanese pictures of the hips and legs in pieces because it could come apart so easily (rather than being broken). It sounds as if both these figures may not have been made of the usual materials and joint tolerances are suffering as a result. That had better not be a recurring issue!

Add me to the list of people who got a bad adult Jr. My issue is with the tail, it fell off as soon as I took him out of the packaging and I can't get it back on. Several of the tail segments fell off too. Looks like i'll be shipping it bakc for a replacement as soon as I can.

My main problem with the Adult Jr. figure is the waist section as it seems to be a bit loose and such. Any thoughts on dealing with this problem?

I would truly be appreciative of the help.

Kain, I got my Adult Jr from Japan and messed around with him quite a bit. The foot fell off and I had to press extremely hard and line up the ankle covering to get it to stay in. It is a little loose now but it doesn't pop off.

As far as his tail joint, try a blow dryer. That will soften the vivyl and should make it easier to snap the joint in place.

All of these universal complaints about Godzilla Junior (Adult) certainly makes me think twice before ordering one. Is this release really that problematic with QC? You would think that Bandai and Tamashi Nations would have perfected quality controls by now after 2 years of a successful toyline.

Good news folks. Opened up my second Godzilla (Adult Jr.) and it's 100% awesome. No loose parts upon opening. I'm able to move everything, moved things pretty hardcore, and nothing pops out. It would seem that the first figure was just really loose for some reason. I'm sure it would be just as good if floor polish was applied to it.

@Tom Amazon is currently out of stock, so you won't be able to exchange it. However, the issue your having I feel is hardly something to return the figure over. Just heat up those pieces and that should fix the tail for good.

Thing is that none of he video reviews I saw regarding figures from the Japanese release had these problems. How does the releases for the US work? Do they produce a second batch? Or what?

Well, really the only two vocal people about have been Kain and I, (I haven't seen other posts as bad as ours). I'd hardly say that's a big problem with US releases. Tom's issue is easy to fix, but still annoying.
