I'd like more military sets. The stuff I saw in the Evangelion dioramas were mostly real world US Army and Japan Self Defense Forces hardware.

Man, using Futurian logic, can ya'll imagine what would of happened if they let 3 land sharks on the island? Or maybe 3 bears? Or maybe 3 land sharks and 3 bears...

I'm not saying the Dorats thing wasn't dumb, I'm just saying that it makes for a better story than, "I landed on Earth in an egg, just because." Plus, like it or not, the Dorats do exist, so I have no problems with them giving us them. It is better than trying to sell them separately in some accessory pack.

Including the Dorats actually is a very appealing bonus for Japan consumers. They LOVE the Dorats as they deem them quite cute for kaiju. So there's your answer on why they were included.

Pacific Rim- because of NECA's exclusive license agreement, Tamashii has to find other ways to create figures from that universe. At the moment, the only option that they're hoping for is Metal Build.

Yeah, Dorats makes total sense to the research and development team. But iconic Showa characters? Oh hell no! They won't sell! Can't do them!

Nothing Tmashii does makes sense to me anymore.

Ummm...Shin_Edda_Robo...I'm pretty sure I've read that, since the MonsterArts sell better in the US than Japan, it's what the US consumers want that really counts. I'm positive most Showa characters/incarnations would sell just as well as anything else they've done. As long as they don't half ass them like the '64.

You'd think so... However Tamashii is more concerned about appealing its domestic market, even if the product sells better in the USA. They want our feedback for sure, but if most of what the USA doesn't match Japan consumer desires, we're looking at either more web exclusive releases in the future, or just a longer period of time before or favorites are created. Sad but true.

At this point, I'd be happy with any kind of Anguirus. I love the little guy. But I think another reason they might go with a Final Wars Anguirus is to differentiate him from the Revoltech release.
