Destroy All Monsters and Megalon DVD/Blu-Ray Discussion 2

Some people on the Blu-ray.com message boards have stated they've received shipping notifications from DeepDiscount.com, BlowItOutAHere.com, and Barnes and Noble for the Godzilla vs. Megalon Blu-ray. Even though I have a pre-order on Amazon.com, I've just made a pre-order at my local Barnes and Noble in hopes that it will arrive there relatively soon and well before the Amazon.com pre-order. Amazon.com seems to be taking its time on account of the Sep. 2nd release date they've posted for the title. Barnes and Noble has their listing as Aug. 26th. Although I know Media Blasters said their discs would be delayed until September, their recent Facebook postings mentioned that the discs had been shipped to retailers. Here's hoping.

Well MB is going to be at my local anime convention next month, so if Amazon hasn't shipped it to me by then, I'm just going to buy it from them directly.

Has Amazon shipped out this yet for anyone? I am getting really annoyed as this makes two for two in Godzilla items they were supposed to have in my hands by Tuesday that they haven't shipped out yet.

Media Blasters once told me that Amazon tends to list later release dates on MB titles than other retailers do... that way, Amazon doesn't have to repeatedly reschedule/re-solicit if a Media Blasters DVD/Blu-ray ships late. But if the discs are shipped early or on time, Amazon sticks to their announced release date, which means their customers get the discs later than customers who order from other retailers.

I got a tracking notification that this has been delivered, so we'll see if it's in my mailbox today waiting for me when I get home (not an Amazon buyer here. I went the DeepDiscount route)

I did get my Megalon blu from Deep Discount, so it's in-hand (not literally).

Combined with The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh arriving yesterday, the eight-year-old kid inside of me is jumping for joy.
