LOVE those pictures, yo. And looking at the NECA, know who it seriously reminds me of? The Dark Horse Godzilla, and I am not complaining about that in the least. I LOVE the face on it now that we can see even better detail on it.

I dunno why people are saying this Godzilla is green. Yes, it has a few dark green highlights, but for the most part, you'd never notice them were it not for all of the flash-happy people posting pics of them. Seriously, flash photography is just about the worst thing you can do when trying to properly convey details on a figure. In person, in natural light, it's about the same shade of black as the MAs, just with a shiny finish to it.

Very nice pics. Though no comparison to Ultraman. :P

One thing I have got to say about the NECA figure, just by looking at the SHMA comparison, it seems the head and face in the frontal view looks more like the film where Goji was fighting King Ghidorah. Something about those eyes, the amount of red paint and the gloss glare in it reminds me of the scene where Goji came through the city, turned around as he seemed to sense Mr. Shinjo (now an older gentleman) and stood there looking at him. Closing his eyes in remembrance then opening them to destroy the building where Mr. Shinjo was looking at him. I don't get the film feel as much in the face when looking at the SHMA version. If this NECA did not have the overall shinier look, and had a less bright paint app on the back spines (and the blue nails), it would really knock on the door of the MA version.

Thank you for sharing those G2K.
I can hear really well and I am STRONGER than ever!

The figure looks good for what it is. The green/blue nails seem like an odd choice and his tail looks off to me, but for the cost I don't see an issue. Hopefully, Neca continues to improve with each release. I'm probably in the minority here, but the 6in G14 was disappointing while the 12in tall G14 is quite amazing.

So my NECA G'94 just came in today and I abso-damn-lutely love it. My figure is black - not green - black. So the color is right. Additionally, while it may not have the super, completely pointless articulation that only exists to jack the price of SHMA figures sky high, it has one point of articulation I will take over the ability for my Godzilla to look at his dick...

Finger articulation.

This Godzilla can grab "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!", and I LOVE it.

The face is absolutely astounding. The only thing I can say I am disappointed by is the lack of tail length. It needs to be a bit longer.

9/10.

The comparison photos definitely make the SHMA the better figure. It is more accurate to the suit, more detailed, longer tail, and the joints don't look as bad. But the NECA still looks like a great figure, especially considering this is the first North American Godzilla toy of this type since the 90's. The bendy tail looks like a really bad idea, but it will be cool to see what these look like a year or two from now when they get their technique down on these figures. Definitely interested in the G84, although I am tempted to hold out to see if a G54 is made.

I PRRRRRAAY that this line does well so that NECA could potentially end up making other characters as well.

I was gonna hold off, but that shot with Godzilla and the Mothra/Battra has me kind of sold.
If I see this in a store I'm definitely getting it.

Has anyone had issues with the G94 head breaking off? Mine snapped off about 2 minutes after I opened it and started playing with it - up til then it was really awesome. Now.... not so much. Just wondered if anyone else had similar issues and had a way to actually fix the ball/post. I'm thinking I may try to glue it back together, but I'm pretty sure that I'll have to actually glue the head into the neck to form a strong enough bond. Such a bummer for an otherwise awesome figure... Any suggestions are welcome, though.

Have NECA said weather they'll be doing other Godzilla monsters?

Would love to see a NECA Biollante, King Ghidorah, Megalon, or any of the showa monsters. Would be nice to see some of the monsters we haven't seen in a while.

I saw the 94 Godzilla at TRU today. I looked at him, I tried to find reason to like him, but I just couldn't justify it. He does look better in person though compared to the pictures.
