So this sounds like DC is planning to continue to let Zack Snyder helm these films, which doesn't get me very excited. I definitely applaud Marvel for their creative director choices.

I can't get excited about these at all. I mean, I guess seeing Batman/Superman on screen or seeing the Justice League...but I don't really expect something great.
Man of Steel is less and less fun for me.

Pretty pumped about this news. I loved MOS and Zach still has done one of the best superhero movies to date with Watchmen. Couldn't be happier to be honest.

I love the Metal Men. Barry has a bit of a hit and miss track record (the first Men In Black and the two Addams Family movies are big hits, in my opinion) but I think he's an okay choice, and he's been chasing this project for several years, so he obviously has a passion for it.

I rather have Green Lantern 2 be a movie that take place in the 1940s and feature Alan Scott as the Golden Age Green Lantern. 8)

No, DC isn't rushing anything at all.

Seriously, DC, just stick to tv series, it is what you are good at. Jonah Hex proved you can't do anything right, so don't even waste our time.

BTW, even if this movie happens, it will be pointless if they don't use the TV series' Flash actor.

THR @ Comic-Con:

"Argo's" Chris Terrio most recently did a rewrite on Warner Bros.' "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Could the thread title be changed to DC Cinematic Universe or something similar?

THR:

Will Beall, who wrote 'Gangster Squad,' and Kurt Johnstad, who wrote '300: Rise of an Empire,' are tackling two separate scripts for Warner Bros.

Did... Did you just turn the "Green Lantern 2" thread into a DC Cinematic Universe thread?

How poetic.

^That's so unpleasant it's hard not to believe.

Wait, a Shazam movie without humor? That was the one DC film I was anticipating, and if they try to do it without humor it'll be a disaster, and not even an entertaining disaster.
