It's accurate enough for me. Yeah the shins are skinny, the toe on the SDCC figure was oddly long (this one doesn't looks too long toe'd), the spines should be a tad larger, but Those are more forgivable, to me, with a more accurate head.

i really need to see it painted, right now the head looks kind of gorilla-y to me. Definitely an improvement though.

Thanks for sharing! The new head sculpt is really nice actually. I do think the rest of the body has to be remolded though...

Who knows, we'll see soon enough. The shins are way too skinny. It's a step in the right direction though.

EDIT: I kinda wish the skin would not be so shiny. I'd be nice if the plastic was a bit more matte looking.

Yeah, its kind of hard to judge that head in those proto-colors. My initial thought was that it was too large, but that's probably just because of the contrasting colors. That said, I definitely like it more than what they were initially planning to give us.

They should just redo the whole thing. That head sculpt likes really nice. Its a shame that its kind of a band aid.

I am so glad they got the brow correct. To me, that's the defining feature of Godzilla 84. The brow and the fangs.

I'm glad they are listening but the body is still way off. They should have re sculpted the whole figure. As is the body is still way too elongated and the spines are still quite inaccurate. But it's a great sign that they actually paid attention to the criticism and made an effort to improve. That alone wins them a lot of respect from me. Even so, I'll wait to see the final production figure before I make up my mind but if it's not tweaked any further I still probably won't get it.

Instead of making a new head, how about just scrapping the whole damn figure and starting from scratch? This figure as a whole is way too flawed for a simple quick fix to salvage it...

It depends on which X-plus '84 you're talking about. The 30cm is pretty spot on. The 25 cm is a goofy, wonky mess that, while different, is just as terrible as the Neca prototype in many ways IMO.
