Yeah, let's get back to to doing what we do best: arguing over whether Monster Zero is a better film than Ghidorah TTHM.

I'm at the point where I enjoy the two almost equally, but I think that Monster Zero is a better film.

I think if they are going to do Mothra I'm pretty sure they're going to do the whole Larva to Cocoon to Adult. Mothra would sort of be the underdog of the movie. Here's my off the top of my head fan-envisionment; Godzilla and other monster are fighting Mothra larva comes in to intervene to protect the earth or what ever. She cocoons Godzilla first (maybe he's cause the most damage or is more likely to destroy something that would pollute or damage the world etc) but in doing so leaves her open for the second monster. Wounded she leaves while the other monster gets away and Godzilla eventually gets out of the webbing. she cocoons herself. Godzilla fights with the other monster again and isn't fairing so well solo, Mothra hatches and come in to save the day. The city is smashed and the two go their ways as protectors of Earth.

They could have Mothra and Rodan in the second one, and then have them all return to fight Ghidorah in the third.

I'd rather have seen a Rodan/Mothra combo film, with a new air-based villain (MUTO, whatever) for them to fight, Rodan being a jerk would have to accept Mothra's help during the finale. Godzilla 2 would introduce Anigilas and these two would battle a new monster. In G3, Mothra, Rodan, Angilas and Godzilla would eventually team up to fight King Ghidorah and maybe a few other random new (or classic) kaiju to give it an apocalyptic, D.A.M. feel to wrap up the trilogy.

The thing I liked most about the male Muto is how well his flight was realized...which makes me want to see Mothra and Rodan in action. I'm stoked! Though I'd wonder how they will handle Godzilla's character if he is the hero...Mothra and Rodan aren't necessarily villains. Also, there seemed to be some confusion as to if there are going to be 4 monsters in the next movie or just G, Rodan, and Mothra.

I'm also hoping we don't have radical design departures for these monsters. Heisei Rodan was garbage...I want a Showa Rodan look. I don't want to see KG simply become a typical looking dragon.

I have to agree even though I'm not to keen on the logic of making a weapon that looks like Godzilla, not in this series. Toho's top 5 has been and will always be in this order: Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla. All the others are secondary.

I wouldn't mind if MG, if/when he appears in this series, is back to being an alien weapon. Hell, if Ghidorah acts autonomously like many seem to want, they could do the whole "alien race invades and tries to conquer earth" plot with Mechagodzilla.

I say save Mothra and KG for the 3rd film.

Put Anguirus (if true), Rodan and, now this is a wild-ass rumor that I saw on Reddit, Minilla in a second film (if they are going to introduce Godzilla's young at all). Make it themed around prehistoric creatures/dinosaurs come back from pre-history.

The 3rd film could center around the mystical elements of the franchise. Mothra and KG are very much more out there as characters.

The only challenge at that point would be bridging the gap between 'serious' and 'mystical' over two films.

No one has suggested that all 4 monsters battle it out as perceived in Godzilla 2 and replacing King Ghidorah with Mechagodzilla in a DAM rumble.

Anytime I hear Minya get thrown in the mix, I get nervous. I HIGHLY doubt that LP would go that route... But you never know...
