And "Skull Island", a new King Kong prequel movie by the sounds of it, announced from Legendary as well! Damn, this has been a great hour for monster movie fans!

So with Legendary having the rights to Kong, could this mean..........Godzilla 3 could potentially end up being King Kong vs Godzilla: Round 2?!

The only problem there is that their Kong would be produced with Universal and their Godzilla is still going through WB

That and the potential height difference. Hell, just make them the same size and have the two films unrelated, have Kong in the Godzillaverse be just as big, same as KKvsG. But man, I hope they make it work either way (if that really is what they've got brewing for a potential third film). Everyone involved must know how much potential for "the monies" such a film would bring in. I'm sure they could work around any legal mumbo-jumbo that might arise.

If Kong is Godzilla sized in SKULL ISLAND there most definitely will be a GvsKK film. Universal and WB can work something out.. Maybe even co-produce.

Holy crap this is awesome news. PR sequel, Godzilla sequel, and a Kong movie announced in the last month.

I wonder how much of an influence Toho was in determining who would share the screen with Godzilla in the sequel. They did it with GMK when Kaneko had other ideas at the time. Considering the success of G'14 I'm sure Toho had no objections. Why do I have the feeling we'll be seeing Mechagodzilla in Godzilla 3?

Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah for the sequel? It's going to be a Ghidorah the Three-Headed Monster rematch!? HELL YES!

No surprise it still doesn't have a scheduled release date and I'm glad Edwards reiterated his return as director. I'd much rather wait until 2018 for more of his take on Godzilla and it's going to be amazing to see what he does with these other classic monsters.

Man, if Mothra is in her adult form, Godzilla is going to be the only monster without a flight advantage in that brawl. I just hope they don't go all '90s and give Rodan or Mothra energy beam attacks.
