I don't see how it's any sillier than "Graboid." Even characters in the movie think it's absurd but what else are you going to call them? They fly with explosive farts.

The director choice and apparent sequel story makes me think it will be direct to video rather a larger theatrical reboot of the property...but I haven't seen anything official

I find it odd that only part 4 actually has the graboid on the cover where as all the others either used a heavily fanged mouth-feeler or some sort of photoshopped reinterpretation of the monster.

The more accurate the cover, the worse the movie, I guess.

I like the old west setting, since if it was in modern Perfection again it'd just be a repeat of part 3 or just a couple of episodes of the show strung together. And the baby graboids were a neat way of doing something new with out adding yet ANOTHER drastic metamorphosis to the creatures, which I think they closed the loop with the assblasters laying eggs if memory serves. Which makes me wonder what they're going to do in the new movie, I'm assuming it's going to be more like a different species of graboid with some more aggressive abilities or something.

But I honestly don't think any of the Tremors movies are bad. Low production sure, but they are fun monster romps. And as long as I get some chuckles and some cool kills out of 5, I'll add next to my Attack Pack bluray set.
