One of the things about the Cybot though is the ridiculous size of the head and the short neck. It might explain a couple of the things that went wrong with the NECA figure but certainly not everything. The resemblance isn't really close enough to say NECA made a Cybot toy instead of a suit toy, or any actual version of 1984 even.

That thing is utterly sad. NECA had a perfect opportunity to come up with something collectors and casual fans alike would have enjoyed and been able to easily afford, but the final product ends up laughably bad instead. I'm left wondering how exactly it looked before the delay happened. Could it have been even worse?

NOW...for another little tidbit of posting. Yesterday I was talking about the Kong possibilities of the new NECA gorilla. Though just to go further on that, hah with the white around the pupils much like the 1976 Kong suit, this could be a good shoe in. Plus the colors and shiny like chest is similar to the 1976 Kong. Just notice the closed mouth face accessory and the body.









So we could use it as a 1976 Kong substitue. Walks upright pretty much like it and with the whites in the eyes is a good match, even with the slight red paint across the brow.

So this is interesting. Pixel Dan was doing an interview with NECA and they were showing everything on display EXCEPT for the Godzilla case. Maybe NECA is embarrassed by it?

I think the '94 Godzilla is decent, but none of the photos have his arms posed the right way.

While I'm still super disappointed with the 1984 figure, it looks a liiiiiiiittle better in those photos. But that 1994 figure, I'm starting to like it more and more, they actually did a pretty good job with that one. As for the color on the 1984 figure, eh. I know I'm going to fall into the minority here, but I like that color. I know that Godzilla was never truly green, especially in 1984, but I grew up with comics, cartoons, and toys(Trendmasters) that had Godzilla depicted as green, so it just brings me back. I definitely prefer black, and would rather the green stick to the 1999-2000 suit, but this I can live with.

OKAY...I got these pics here from someone entirely different who was working at the Con. He took seven pics for me and I am going to maybe come out and say, maybe it isn't as bad as we thought. I do agree there is some room for improvement, but looks a bit better for the G fandom.

I think it's still way off. Why is it green? And those cheeks are still horrible. The proportions are way too long. I just can't see it man.
