So what do you think the odds are we see Crimson Typhoon 2.0. The only damage that Jaeger sustained was its head ripped off. Seeing how much money PR made in China, I'm confident we'll see the return of the three armed robot.

Or clones.
All the kaiju are clones. Maybe Newton and Herman continue to drift and learn how to clone humans.

GDT has come out and said he has little to no interest in exploring the prequel realm of Pacific Rim in film.

That sounds... intriguing. I wonder if filming the pilot for The Strain in a fraction of a fraction of the time he spends on a feature emboldened him?

eh. There's so many ways that could go...whatever. It could just mean there are more glimpses of them building kaiju, perhaps even studying a jaeger and building mechakaiju.

In a two hour movie, if the kaiju homeworld is 12 minutes of the movie instead of 5 like in the first film, it's still all good.

i really disliked the visuals for the kaiju world scenes, so if they do revisit it, maybe they can revamp it a bit.

Man, first the Godzilla exhibit at last year's Comic Con and now this:

Goes without saying, wish I was there.

I'm still amazed Pacific Rim exists at all. "Let's give a cult director know for offbeat art house horror movies $200 million to make a movie based on genres known to 83 people in the entire US!"
"What Orwell feared were those who would ban books. What Huxley feared was that there would be no reason to ban a book, for there would be no one who wanted to read one."
