Since this is not based off an existing 3D model they had to mold it from the ground up. Problem is a lot of folks in this fandom here in the US who do sculpts would easily do a better job than what was done here.

Why is he so weirdly elongated? It's like Godzilla has been stretched into Leiji Matsumoto proportions. If you were able to squash him down about 20% and fix the jaw he'd look infinitely better.

The sculpt has some serious problems, but there's a photoshop over there now that fixes the teeth and lower jaw. And wow, it really does vastly improve the figure. Maybe not save it, but it makes a huge difference.

I'm confused as to how anyone in neca decided this was the toy to release...it's unabashedly bad, not just compared to the neca G14, but in comparison to just about anything in general.

I'm hoping we are getting seriously trolled and this is why the figure was delayed so much and the real figure will be at SDCC.

I’ll wait and see the reports from SDCC. Chris55 did say the figure is way beyond the deadline for any last minute changes, and will go ahead as scheduled. However, there’s no confirmation if he was referring to the prototype we saw, or hopefully an improved revision that hasn’t been revealed yet.
