Gah! Comparing Kain's pic above and this side by side.... It looks like someone tried to merge the 84 with Stretch Armstrong. Every part of the body proportions are stretched out and elongated. Wait. I just did an experiment. Take the picture, load it into Paint, then use the box selection option that you would use to copy or cut the image. With the whole figure selected, grab the bottom of the box and reduce the overall image from 100% to 75%. The proportions start looking quite a bit better. Is this what the problem is?

^ Yeah the look on the face was distinct. But I still think it looks like crap though. Everyone was expecting the 84 Godzilla's design and we got... I dunno what man.

On the plus side, the tail doesn't looks like's just a bendy wire with rubber on it and the chest seems fairly accurate.

But my god, there's no angle where the face looks good. The neck it just way to thin for the head, his shin/calves look to thin for his thighs, his feet a tiny little wafers compared to his body, the head's too round and doesn't follow the curve of the back, the mouth makes me think of .

I think that's my main problem though, it's based off the Cybot used in promo shots for the movie than the actual suit. Sadly, I dropped my pre-order of this guy

Now I really wonder what is being shown off at SDCC since there are three other figures to be released.

It's not based off the cybot. At all. It's quite clearly based on the suit, but it's just horribly mis proportioned and awkwardly sculpted.
