G54, G62, and Burning sound like good choices to represent different phases of the character.

I'd be interested to see if and what Non Godzilla characters they do for this line.

I want Godzillas '54, '62, and '64. If I have those and that 12 inch tall Godzilla '14 I'll be set for life in regards to Godzilla figures.*

Damn. No other monters other than Godzilla himself eh? Well, that's kind of a buzz kill. But hopefully we'll still be getting that 1984 figure. I'd love to see a '54, '55, '62, '64, '89, '91, '02, and '03 Godzillas.

I look forward to seeing the ’85 figure. NECA got my interest, and I hope they focus on some variants SHMA didn’t do. May be wishful thinking, but still.

I'm actually more excited for NECA tackling other Gs than I am for the SHMAs. I would love seeing NECA take a crack at the 64. Yeah, theirs might not be able to do poses that the SHMA can do, but I've since learned that I'm ok with simple articulation over super-articulation if it means less obvious articulation gaps and panels. I passed on the SHMA 2000 because I didn't quite like the sculpt, and at the moment the pics of the 2014 has me content with the NECA even though I'm sure the SHMA can do an awesome roar pose.

Although my excitement really hinges on the 85 reveal. If they nail that, I'm hooked for anything else. Well, anything else non-Heisei. :) (Not really a fan and I don't classify the 85 as fully Heisei :P ) My wish list would include the 62, 64 and 2000. I have a feeling if they do dip into Showa, it will be for only one sculpt.

While I like SHMA taking on the earlier design for their G2K model, I'd like to see NECA go after the actual suit. Imo, that would be awesome.

So with the way Toho rebranded him, does that mean that NECA couldn't do a Zilla figure?

TK's forums have pics up of the 85 figure and it's honestly a strong contender for the ugliest Godzilla figure I've ever seen. No joke.

Wow. That is horrible. Incredibly disappointing after the wonderful work they've done with Godzilla '14!

I think NECA's Godzilla '94 is quite good. I know it got some guff from fans but I think it looks like a fine figure. This one is dramatic drop-off in quality.

It's nice to see NECA kept The Return of Godzilla's unique feature of keeping acorns stored in his cheek pouches.

Sadly, my excitement for this figure is crushed. At least their '94 figure had a closer resemblance to the suit it's based on.

I think they should go ahead with the '94 figure and scrap '84 completely. Back to the drawing board.
