I like how Kirby drew the FF's costumes as baggy jumpsuits, not superhero tights. They weren't costumes, they were uniforms!

uniforms? in issue #3, when Sue presents them, Reed calls them costumes, and they certainly aren't baggy. They aren't skin tight to show off every little nuance, granted. I prefer the costumes that way. I also liked how Reed, for a while, wasn't buff. He was just a scientist who could stretch. He didn't need to look like Captain America. And Johnny was skinny. Course he was 16 or so. I think I'll be able to ignore this movie quite easily. here's hoping whoever owns the Hanna-Barbera Fantastic Four cartoons will release them, though.

^Baggy in comparison to most superhero suits. I mean, they were/looked like/drawn like jumpsuits, not tights. I thought that was neat, and Kirby was great at drawing more loose clothing.

I'm reading these Kirby/Lee issues for the first time so let me just get it out there that I like prefer Thing's hide as lumpy and not rocky. Why change it when it looks so cool?

During an interview with , the Transcendence actress is quizzed about her upcoming role in Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot. Don't expect many details though..because she apparently doesn't know any! Mara isn't even sure if she'll be wearing a costume or not.

Simon Kinberg says director Josh Trank’s franchise reboot is "grounded, real, gritty, and what it would really be like if you went through a transformation and lost control of your body."

Isn't it the 75th anniversary of Marvel? They should be celebrating the series that was the cornerstone of the Marvel universe, the single most important comic in the history of the company. Instead they're burying it for business reasons.

I do not like the big 2 very much. They seem to be run entirely by people I don't care for, and who are dedicated to making decisions I don't like.

Let me put on my conspiracy theory hat for a minute... Based on the "gritty" take and shock artist Millar heading things up over at Fox, what if Marvel isn't dialing back the FF to hurt Fox but is actually doing it to avoid backlash due to the direction or plot points of the new film??

CBM:

With rumors of Fantastic Four comics being cancelled to hurt the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, Marvel seems to be doing something similar with X-Men in an effort to hurt FOX's revenue from the films.
