Adam West is the perfect age to play Bruce Wayne in Batman Beyond.

Hint, hint Warner Bros.!

Those are Issues 1 and 2 of a three issue miniseries adapting the Australian Ultra show. I had 1 and 3 sealed in their bags (they came with trading cards), but I saw these and was like "SURE" Especially since they were each a dollar.

Hellboy left the BPRD about 15 (14?) years ago in the comics, and splitting them has made for some great stories, but I sometimes I miss seeing HB as a team member. Well, someone agrees with me, because Mike Mignola, John Arcudi, and artist Alex Maleev are bringing the flashback series Hellboy & The BPRD later this year!

This arrived today:

I'm enjoying it so far. It isn't anywhere near the greatest piece of literature written, but it is interesting to see what Lucas' original ideas entailed. There seems to be a lot of ideas that made it into both the original trilogy and the prequels in here.

Digital Spy:

"With three stories each issue," Simone wrote. "Captain Marvel by Mark Waid, Junior by Grant Morrison, and Mary Marvel by me. Would have killed for that.

That seems odd although I find 95% of crossovers odd (which is the number one reason I avoid the big two)

I've been reading 'American Vampire' by Scott Snyder recently. It's very much taking vampires back as monsters, and i also love that it takes place in various times much earlier in American history rather than being a modern times story.

Calling this new character Thor really doesn't make much sense, because Thor will still be around. Marvel is insisting that this new character is Thor, but "Thor" has always been the name of a character in Marvel's universe and never a title. While there has been several occasions where others have been worthy of bearing Mjolnir and thus bearing Thor's power but they weren't Thor himself. Others such as Erik Masterson only transformed into Thor because Thor was merged with them, not because they took on the title of Thor.

I'm sure it'll sell a few comics at first, but as usual this will taper off again until Thor is restored, probably in time for the next movie.

Finally caught up on Original Sin.
It feels like the best event book Marvel has done in a while.

Overall i like it, i could see people being philosophically opposed to the changes, but i really do like that it views vampires as monsters and not tortured souls. And i think that fine line is interesting when it is explored via Pearl's storyline.
