Unfortunately, I think the lack of Showa Monsters has several reasons..

Toho treats Heisei Godzilla (and likely the entire timeline and characters) as the default form of Godzilla. They've pushed that since the 1990s. Add that Koichi Kawakita has pull at Bandai, and since many 18-30 somethings in Japan first exposure to the Godzilla series were with the Heisei and Millenium Godzilla movies, as well as people who generally like to buy poseable figures in general (SHFiguarts/FIGMA) we're going to get more emphasis on these characters :(

I think any Showa characters we get will be safe choices such as Showa MG, Showa Anguirus, or Showa Gigan. Seeing Titanosaurus rank so high and getting pushed by BF, as well as overall more love for the character here than in Japan does give me hope.

Reasonable and I think your spot on. I'm sure we will get occasional Showa era figures and they'll be the ones you mentioned. (Probably a 54/62 Godzilla at some point too...even if it's years from now. A Showa KG seems like a no-brainer too but I'm dubious about the reality of that figure)

I'd welcome more Ghidorahs really (MOTHRA TRILOGY GHIDORAHS PLEASE). I just hope that they fix their previous problem. Seeing how Bandai does generally improve with their next releases, I can see them doing that.

Showa KG is kind of a no brainer. I'd probably add Hedorah to that list, since Hedorah is popular both sides of the Pacific. Godzilla 54 and 62 are probably the only other ones that one would say are inevitable as far as Showa Godzilla releases go.

Then there that leaves us Return Of Godzilla in limbo.

Really would like to see Pacific Rim in a more affordable price range, but seeing how Soul of Chogokin and Metal Build have very limited productions, I can see them selling well just on that..

Who knows, maybe Bandai will capitalize and do the toys for the TV show.

Looks like SH MonsterArts Zero is about to take a bow before the fans...

EDIT: Well not 100% sure these are ZEROES, but maybe we can see a confirmation soon :)

Doesn't mean it's a Zero. Could just be dioramas fans have made. You're the first person I've seen that's said those are zeroes.

Nice to see what a possible Kiryugoji would look like. This is probably a diorama made by a fan and they showed it off. But a Monsterarts Zero would be interesting, though ultimately something I would not get.

I kind of have no interest in MonsterArts Zero. Although I'm sure the lack of articulation will appeal to a whole other sect of the fandom.

That Kiryu Goji looks nothing like Kiryu goji. It looks like a recolored G2K. Maybe I'm missing something? :shrugs:

The dioramas are awesome regardless.

^Exactly. Nothings been confirmed officially other than what one person said.

Yes, that's a fan diorama. They're actually the SHMA figures glued and sealed together to make them look like statues. They're at least 6 months old photos. That biollante one uses the Xplus I believe. Pretty cool though.

Do you really expect Bandai would come out and say, "Yeah, the line has been canceled, thanks for your money, please don't return the ones you just bought in the last 30 days, good night everybody?"

No company would ever do that.

As for those dioramas, not sure what is up with the Biollante one, but I saw that one way before the MA came out of her.

Well my NECA one has arrived:

Overall, they both have their positives and negatives. Both of their sculpts are incredible, and as stated, the silver highlighting on the MA one does show off his detailing better than the NECA one. On the other hand, the NECA one looks slimy and more like he did in the movie. My only real issue with the NECA Alien is that I have joints that are too loose and joints that are too tight and I have no idea why. His right shoulder is looser than it should be while his left shoulder is so tight I have to press down hard with my palm to get it to move. The bendy tail is both a positive and negative for the NECA one, but ultimately, the NECA one to me is the superior of the two for the head alone as the dome looks movie accurate as shown in this picture from the Alien Vault book:

That image on the box art is actually a prop, not the actual suit.
