Can't say I'm too impressed. Obviously I don't know all the details, but I expect this to be a quick, relatively minor release that doesn't officially cross the ocean to the US, probably made just to make a few bucks without spending too much money on actually getting the game made. The graphics look decent, but not out of this world amazing (and before someone throws that 40% comment at me: come on. There's not going to be any significant graphical upgrades between now and release, especially if they felt confident enough to release a trailer), and honestly the gameplay of Godzilla games has never struck me as all that interesting. I'd kill for a decent Godzilla 2 - War of the Monsters rework: something where you play at the strategic level, having to manage resources and military assets in an attempt to defeat or minimize the damage of the monsters, but even that game would probably end up being pretty one-dimensional. Godzilla just doesn't strike me as the sort of character that's suited well for any sort of video game outside of fighters, and fighters don't dominate the video gaming scene the way they used to.
