Do they actually say in the movie that the experiments killed her?

Just got a chance to see this last night. Overall a solid flick but to be honest I'm not sure why the majority thinks this is the best superhero film or best X-Men film to date. Its good in that it resets the glaring errors like X3 and Origins but its still below First Class and X2 IMO so I'm kind of surprised to see all the praise.

The after credits clip was so disappointing......

First Class is still the best X-men movie to me, but DOFP was definitely pretty good, in large part due to Fassbender's Magneto(he owns this role in a way even Ian Mckellen doesn't).

Apparently we're supposed to take the line from Magneto in the past "Imagine if they were metal" as an indication that Magneto did it for him.

I personally don't really get that, as he'd have to GET the adamantium from somewhere, but whatever...I've been shouted down about this complaint so much that I've just thrown up my hands and don't care anymore.

Frankly the movie has other, bigger issues that keep it from being as good as First Class and more in that level of X2.

I thought that was his get up, it's just that he was usually in dark areas so the yellow didn't seem as prominent as on the poster.

I don't think Wolverine is going to be in X-Men: Apocalypse. Bryan Singer described it as "more of a First Class sequel" set in the 1980s.

I don't think we'll be seeing any more Wolverine origins. I think Apocalypse will focus on Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, Beast, Quicksilver and whoever else in the '80s while the third Wolverine movie in 2017 will take place after he wakes up in the altered future. I hope they bring back Jean Grey and Cyclops for that.

Regardless whether Stryker (as implied by the ending) or Apocalypse give Wolverine his adamantium in this new timeline, it still doesn't explain how he has it in the future scenes of Days of Future Past, which is the future resulting directly from X-men 1-3 and the Wolverine films. It might seem like a minor thing, but it was the driving force behind the ENTIRE PLOT of The Wolverine, which left off with the audience in a bit of shock that Wolverine had lost his adamantium and was coping with this new and drastic change to his body. To just have it back and leave it as, "oh, he got it back somehow - maybe Magneto" seems quite cheap to me. It'd be like Vader telling Luke he's his father in ESB and then just totally dropping it and not resolving it in RotJ. Ok, maybe it's not THAT extreme, but it feels similar, but on a lesser order of magnitude maybe. Still, it bugs me and seems like a glaring error.

That's my only problem with this movie, all the little minor inconsistencies that are just swept under the rug. "How'd Xavier get in his old body again?" "I dunno, somehow." "Why does Kitty Pryde have the ability to send people through time?" "I dunno." "How'd Wolverine get his adamantium back?" "Somehow."

They're not super crucial to the plot, but it would still be nice to have some little bits of dialogue to smooth things over. Someone could say "Wait, Kitty can send people back in time?" and she could reply, "Yeah, it's my secondary mutation." Wolverine could pop his claws and say something like, "Good thing Magneto reforged my claws when we found that adamantium storage facility. Really comes in handy against the sentinels."
