Same goes for MechaGodzilla, just three movie appearances, he didn't even get an appearance in Final Wars because of the then recent appearances in GxMG and Tokyo SOS.

Gah! Can't believe I forgot 2 movies. Right now I'm not sure how MechaGodzilla could reasonably work in the universe of the Legendary movie yet.

Gigan's portrayal as a violent arrogant coward in Final Wars was pretty much in line with his previous portrayals. Hedorah? It'd be easy enough as saying he's a freak of nature that was spawned in nasty environments. He'd work yo :D

So true. The only thing that was any good from '98 was the composer. This one didn't quite do it for me even though it sounded like music from a '50's sci-fi flick. It just didn't compliment Godzilla very well.

Definitely Giacchino or Zimmer would be my top picks too. Zimmer can make some pretty memorable scores when he wants to, most of his scores for Nolan come to mind.

Man all you people are thinking way too simplistic and literal about this.

Godzilla/Pacific Rim crossover doesn't HAVE to have Godzilla fight Jaegers. The easiest way around this is have the aliens from Pacific Rim send out King Ghidorah and Gigan, or any other alien kaiju (Orga or Megalon for that matter) and have them wreck everything. Godzilla would naturally have to fight them and Gipsy Danger Mk II would help would.

and maybe this time Gipsy can pull off a genuine Rocket Punch. ROKKETOOO PAAAAAANCHI!!

That's usually what Japanese VS Crossover fiction works like when it comes to two different series or franchises.
