The explanation at the end of the Watchman movie doesn't matter, what matters is that the book Watchmen is directly tied to how dense it is. It's about all these little details and they keep piling up and a piling and you wonder if all this is going anywhere and then everything manages to tie together in the last act and it's just breathtaking.

That's what make the comic good. Without that, and add the fact that Snyder shot everything to look sexy and cool (instead of awkward and sad, missing the point entirely), and every single thing that's interesting about Watchman is stripped away in the film adaptation.

I'm so glad I read the comic before the movie came out.

I like both endings, but the graphic novel is a far more compelling work.

So Jason Mamoa is Aquaman.

That's awful casting.

Guys, we should really stop complaining about Watchmen and resume complaining about Batman v. Superman.

... I hear that Darkseid may be the villain in Justice League. Just reminds me of how I don't like that he's been divorced from the rest of the Fourth World characters and been made into a simple Superman/JL villain.

I'm watching the Lego Movie...and I really feel like this Batman should just act like Lego Movie Batman.
Movie is suddenly a thousand times better.

Now that Sony moved The Amazing Spider-Man 3 to 2018, there's no longer a superhero movie scheduled for June 2016. My guess is Warner Bros. will give up their game of chicken with Marvel's Captain America 3 and move this film ahead to June, which was when Man of Steel opened anyway.

Batman looks cool, Wonder Woman looks alright and better than expected. I was hoping for more blue in the costume, but DC/WB hate color or something, so I'm not surprised. The footage they showed sounds kinda unremarkable.
