My only problem with the wings are the pins, because they were not visible on Battra.

I take back what I said about Mothra earlier though. If they make Mothra trilogy Mothras I'd be willing to get stuff (._. ).

Haven't posted in a bit, but my SHMA Mothra arrived over the weekend!

Some quick comments:

Very impressed on how the sculpt gives off the illusion that Mothra has a fuzzy texture to her. The eyes and wings really pop under the right light too!

The designers made a smart choice going with plastic rivets to hold the leg joints together, rather than ball joints. They hold so much better than Battra's legs.

Minor QC issues that I came across with my figure. One out of the six legs is slightly loose but is still manageable. The right wing is not nearly as tight as the left, but I can still pose it in a number of positions.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this figure, and she makes a nice addition to the collection!

And of course, pics!

Battle for Earth, indeed!

Hold on, did your MOthra come with a brown box like some of the other MAs do? I didn't get one with mine.

Also, can you do more pics with the REvoltech Mothra?

Finally, is that how she is supposed to sit on her stand? The instructions say the big curved piece is supposed to be before her thorax.

BTW, I forgot she had pins showing until you guys mentioned it just now. Honestly, I didn't even pay attention. I still don't have Battra yet though (hoping to get it for my bday on Sunday, but we'll see), so I cannot compare.

^Yup, mine came with the outer brown box. Did yours come directly from Amazon?

As for the stand, I didn't look at the instruction sheet, until you mentioned about the plastic holder. I had mine reversed with the larger curve under the neck. I tried the other way too, and both ways seem relatively stable when displaying.

I took a few more comparison pics of the Mothra figures:

My Mothra also came with the brown box. Where did you get yours Kain? I got mine at BBTS. I like the the eyes on Mothra quite a bit. I'll try taking pics of it sometime soon under bright lights.

I know Toy Arena likes to remove them from the brown shipping box. I've kept all mine along with their original boxes.

For what it's worth, the brown box is only a shipping box that is often discarded by retailers for display purposes. While my store doesn't discard the brown boxes, we do remove them so that we can see exactly which figure we're shipping out to make sure people get what they order. Battra and Mothra look very similar in their brown boxes (although Battra is larger). We replace the brown boxes for added protection during shipping, but I imagine if they aren't handy, we would probably ship without it and just use an extra layer of bubble wrap. It seems only the figures that do not have window boxes get brown outer boxes. Battra, Mothra, Biollante, & G64 are the only ones i can recall having them. But the rest have not I don't think.

You know, I was just thinking about my old Trendmasters collection and outside of Mecha Ghidorah and Anguirus, the MonsterArts line has given us back every monster they released at one time.

Unless you count the unreleased toys...

Save for a few like Megalon, Baragon, Anguirus, Varan and Mecha King Ghidorah, yeah we have gotten a lot of them.

Save for Varan though, any of those have a somewhat decent chance of being released. Mecha King Ghidorah and Anguirus have the best chance though.

I can vouch that Varan, Megalon, and Baragon were released because I got them at the store when they came out! KB Toys if I remember. They were however VERY VERY limited releases.

I see you got Sailor Venus and Mothra at the same time too, Kain! Since you posted pics of her, I like how they molded Sailor Venus shoes compared to Mars. Since she's basically wearing flats now (or is it short heels), she can stand on her own much easier than Mars can, and another way to set her apart from Mars. I expect them to do the same for Neptune.

I hope to see something cool at Tokyo Toy Fair this summer. Especially of Godzilla 2014.

Gigan's the most poseable figure in the line so far. You could get an easy Rider Kick from him. He just hurts like hell to grab in some places. Also, his tail balances really nice compared to the Godzillas of the line. He's bigger than I expected, and is probably just a bit shorter than Destoroyah, though he has no where near as much mass. Also for some reason he seems to fit with a lot of figures, like Super Robot Chogokins and Ultra Acts.

^ Right, I also forgot to mention the king of pop too lol. The Moonwalker MJ is pretty cool. This figure has a certain charm to it and the poseability couldn't have been better, especially the anti-gravity lean pose.
