If I had more time I would do them myself, those aren't bad. The front cover is a little busy for my taste. If anything, I might take the backs, and merge them with the Toho fronts. I just love how simple they are.

It's too bad I have no way of creating my own covers for collections. I would so love to do BD covers like two Showa sets, one Heisei set, and one Millennium set and have each set in a 7 disc case. It would be freaking awesome to have the original movie in its Criterion case while the rest are by era.

Now that I have a bit of a spark (wanting to replace these sony covers for myself) I'm going to start working on some in my free time. I'll post what I come up with.

So what program would you recommend to use to make custom covers? I want to at least get my idea started even if I cannot print them out in good quality right now.

So I downloaded this program called GIMP and have been spending the last 6 hours working on stuff. Unfortunately, what I wanted to do failed, but here is what I did make.

I started this tonight, and I'm planning on finishing tomorrow evening. I'm slightly modifying the Toho covers, and adding my own back cover.
Excited to finish and start on the rest of the sony BDs

I finished this tonight.

Just as a test, and to humor me, could you replace the blue background fill with just plain black?

The way I have it currently - the front cover will have the blue border and the back/spine will be completely black. The rest of the blue is simply past the bleed line.
But for the sake of fun,

Wait, yea now I know what you're talking about, that will look great I think.

A few corrections if I may:
- The first mini-image on the back is missing the outer glow like the second one below it
- G's spine fins on the back is slightly too far out and will be cropped
- Maybe add a slight outer glow to the right side of roaring G to hide the digital cutting marks
- Add the Mecha-King Ghidorah to the Monster Logos
- On the spine swap the positions of the Toho logo and the mini-poster pic at the bottom. Normally that's at the top and the company is on the bottom.
