The new Ghost Rider art is intriguing. Also i had heard a bunch of good things about the new Moon Knight series.

Has anyone checked out a series from Image called 'Undertow'? it's about Atlantis and is apparently very Harryhausen-esque... I'll probably check it out when it hits trades unless someone on the boards tells me its awful.

Yeah I like the new Moon Knight. Visually it's pretty stunning, and Moon Knight is a fun character to read.

A cool article about the new Ghost Rider.
It's kind of great. The book I mean.

EDIT: Oh my god. No wonder I like the art here. Felipe Smith is the guy who did the character designs for the new TMNT! (Cartoon) :D

^Marvel is really doing better by letting individual artists bring their unique styles to their books. DC seems to be hewing to a rather bland (and, in my opinion, ugly) house style.

... but on the other hand: I'm not reading Batman (which I understand is DC's most popular book), but every time I've seen a piece of art from this current story arc they're doing (Batman's New 52 origin) all I can think is "oh my god, what incredible color!" Most mainstream comics have horrible, uninteresting color, but this thing is all vibrant purple and hot pink and neon green and it looks fabulous. It looks more like a European sci-fi comic from the late '70s than a modern superhero book.

Few characters are as iconic as the Incredible Hulk... or so malleable. Over the years, the Hulk's been a thug, a genius, a cynical lump of cruelty; but he's best known as being the slow-witted brute. And now it appears he's changing things up again. Spoilers below on Hulk and Indestructible Hulk.

I did! Bought a bunch as well. Loved the new Amazing Spider-Man #1.
I also picked up the Batman/Superman Annual which isn't new, but I enjoyed it just the same.

Hundreds of people at my local shop. All the comics I wanted were already gone. All I got was Rocket Raccoon. Even all the costumes and the life-sized dalek couldn't cheer me up after being deprived of Atomic Robo and Uncle Scrooge!

... suppose I should be happy that those titles, which I think of as being more on the obscure side, were popular - maybe some kids will become Scrooge or Robo fans! I'll get those stories collected eventually, anyway.

I had met Mike Raicht (Godzilla: Legends #3) at a convention a few weeks back and picked up the first omnibus from his creator owned series "The Stuff of Legend" which is kind of like Toy Story vs the Boogey Man... although with a higher maturity than that could possible sound... The art is fun, and the i really have no idea where its going to go, but so far it has been a fantastic ride. It was recently optioned for a film, so maybe it will get more exposure soon. Anyway, I'm looking forward to picking up the second omnibus, and i recall Mr Raicht saying they have three planned, so at least there is a blueprint already in place. Highly recommended.

^ interesting. I might pick this up, but the cover art gave me a "Hack/Slash" vibe, so i'll probably wait until i've heard more about it.

I just picked up the first trade for "Manifest Destiny" which has the premise that Lewis and Clark were actually sent to eliminate all the monstrous threats that lurked within the Louisiana Purchase. Fun read so far.

I don't know if I should recommend starting Usagi Yojimbo with this new miniseries set far in the future of the series continuity proper and featuring H.G. Wells Martians... but Stan Sakai has always made his stories so accessible that I feel pretty safe in saying you can probably go into this cold.

Also: Dark Horse is gonna start bundling up their Usagi tpb into bigger omnibus versions, so collecting Usagi will be far more convenient soon, so you'll have no excuse not to read it.

New Moon Knight continues to be a great read. I hope he gets an MCU tv show. So much.
New Amazing Spider-Man is great as well.
I'm not sure what Guardians is doing right now, it feels like its wasting time until the Starlord ongoing and the Guardians relaunch.
Thanos Annual was neat (JIM STARLIN!) but that one feels like a preview of the original graphic novel that's coming out.

Moon Knight continues to be sooo goood.
Also got Original Sin 1 and 2. I like this so much more than Infinity. This feels like I'm getting a full story, so far anyway.

Picked up the first trade of 'Pretty Deadly' which looked like it was a spaghetti western... it's really hard to describe without giving away the story, in fact you will probably need to read it twice to catch the whole story because once you get to where they are going suddenly all the steps it took to get there make sense... in the mean time you spend a lot time wondering where it is going. I guess if i had to describe the book, i would say it's about a dead rabbit telling a tale to a butterfly. Overall i'd say it was good, but probably not good enough for me to pick up a volume 2.
