If I remember, it'll be coming with the nuclear breath effect part.

Gotta say, from the silhouette alone it seems to have nice motion. That tail is way up.

Did Yuji Sakai do the sculpt? He posted the teaser image on his blog as a promo for the latest Tamashii event, and i don't think he has promoted any of the SHMA figures that weren't his, so I'm thinking there is a chance, but i haven't seen anything else to confirm or deny.

It'd be nice if he did. But considering his past reblogs/retweets over things he worked on, it's entirely possible. Maybe he just really likes the idea of a Monsterarts LegendGoji.

ALL WILL BE APPARENT IN A FEW DAYS.

Please get here already Friday...

I'm even more excited knowing Yuji Sakai was involved in this project.

THIS IS THE WORST ARTICULATION YET!! ITS LIKE THEY TOOK A BEAUTIFUL SAKAI SCULPT THEN CUT IT INTO HUNDREDS OF CUBES AND THEN STACKED THEM BACK TOGETHER. THERE ARE EVEN GAPS BETWEEN THE TIPS OF THE FINS AND THE PARTS CONNECTED TO THE BODY

Seriously though looking good, although I am curious to see what is going on with that knee joint.

Why does it look like the feet are better on this figure than any other depiction of the design?

The feet look the best on this figure. All the American made figures have the toe claws painted either close to the body paint or just a solid dark color. They're also closed together like elephant or brontosaur feet. The SHMA colors the toe claws similarly to past Godzilla designs withe blending, like G2KM's claw colors. They also spread the toes apart, so it looks a lot more aesthetically pleasing, and little more classic Godzilla-like.

Well for what you're paying this SHOULD look better than everything else.

What I'm NOT looking forward to is MonsterArts fanatics crapping all over everything else (Bandai America, NECA, Jakks) in order to praise this figure. That's gonna get really tired, really fast.

Both Neca figures were pretty underwhelming for me.

And I'm not touching the Jakks figure.

Maybe I'll get the chibi figures. Or perhaps regular six inch vinyl figures, if they're making them. I'm definitely going to be getting the Monsterarts one now.

I think NECA's and Jakk's figures are actually pretty good for what they are. And I absolutely love Jakk's huge figure. My brother has it in his classroom and the kids love it. I'll have to see the Monsterarts figure first, but looking at the silhouette I think NECA's figure will be beat just based on sculpt alone. Maybe its the way the feet are shaped and the tail. Who knows.

EDIT: Dorkzilla; they ARE making vinyls. Bandai of Japan is making one of Godzilla and the flying Muto this July

Aside from Bandai's gimmick Godzillas, I think all the figures look great. Jakks is good, destruction pack Godzilla, NECA's two figures, all fine.

I think the only thing I can truly take away from the NECA Godzilla is the bendy tail. I'm not a big fan of those.

bah, dammit NECA show us Godzilla 84 already!

SHMA’s approach in sculpting, articulation, and paint job will appease those, who prefer this type of style. To NECA’s credit, their figure also has a certain charm that satisfies standards of people wanting something different. It all comes down to personal tastes. I just hope there aren’t some qc issues from either one.

^ OH MY GOSSSHHHKKKUH!

The tail detail is so amazing.

EDIT: But just one thing though...what will the height be like? If this is film-wise the biggest Goji to date, will this MA figure be far larger than the usual Godzillas that have been in the line?
I can hear really well and I am STRONGER than ever!
