Except Walmart IS selling the sony G blurays... they even have a special aisle display at the front of the store for them. I've seen it at two different ones already.

When I lived in Maine there was an FYE, none here. Are there even Suncoast movie stores anymore? LOL

Well still no update from B&N so if I don't have them shipping by Saturday I'll drive down to Tradesmart (Hastings) and see if they have them. An additional 1-2 weeks to even ship them when you pre-ordered them a month ago is frankly ridiculous!

Got them at a FYE. They had a end cap of Godzilla movies, rather than in the blu ray section. Also picked up king kong escapes and king kong vs Godzilla.

Watched Sea Monster last night and it looked amazing some stuff looked barely above DVD but for the most part the film has never looked better.

Got my copies last night! I just watched the DVD of Ebirah a week or so ago, so I'm going to start with Hedorah. Can't wait!

Did anyone else receive an email saying the blu-rays of Godzilla vs Gigan and Godzilla vs Hedorah have been discontinued and will not be available? I ordered mine from Deep Discount and Ebirah shipped, but I also received an email that the other 2 had been cancelled and would no longer be available. I figure it's a mistake or Deep Discount isn't going to carry them.

I know a lot of people have already received theirs, so I know they're out there.

God I hope not.

I just got into it with a Barnes & Noble customer service rep. They told me my order wouldn't be expected now to ship until 5/29. I got really angry. I'm like how can something I pre-ordered with a release date of Tuesday (something I pre-ordered a month ago) now not ship for another month when I know they are already out there at other retailers. I told them I was more than a little disappointed and that if I ordered from Amazon it would have shipped by now. They weren't less than sincere in their apology. Needless to say I won't be using them again.

Hope my order for Amazon ships asap.

I checked and Deep Discount has now completely removed the G vs Gigan and G vs Hedorah Blu-rays from their site. Guess I'll order from somewhere else.

If the Hedorah disc (which I'm watching due to the likelihood that it'll put me to sleep at this late hour) is any indication of the rest of these discs then Krakken has done a grwat job as this looks great. The only thing I'm confused about is that when I scroll through the "subtitles" button on my remote, there's two English tracks and the first one seems to be nothing. It's the second obe that's subbing the film...

These are great. I would be completely satisfied having the remaining showa films that need BD treatment to come in similar form. Although, I LOVE the Classic Media DVDs. I wish they could just port those to BD, with the commentaries and all.
