I can't, I started, but as much as i love spoilers there too much potential for ruin.

I've waited my entire life for a big budget hollywood Godzilla. I know enough at this point to be very excited....now I must score an advance ticket!

I went to Reddit and saw all the spoilers, watched all the clips and everything. It's only increasing my hype. I'll definitely refrain from browsing these sites when the release time comes (and even before then because I know it's being released earlier in some countries and I don't want things getting spoiled for me because of a gif from a camrip or something), though. I only regret having to wait nearly 2 weeks for this film... I will have to find SOMETHING to keep me occupied in the meantime.

Unrelated to all this, if anyone is looking to make some gifs from the Asia trailer without the Chinese subtitles, the WB Spanish YouTube channel has provided one: .

Akira Takarada is listed in the final credits as "Japanese Immigration Officer"

This kinda leads me to believe that even if his main scene was cut (perhaps a dialogue scene), we may still see him somewhere in the film.

Would be nice if Takarada's minor contribution is somehow kept in in some capacity - even if it's trimmed down.

Also have to mention that the signiture pic in Cheeky Pig's posts just gives me a warm fuzzy. It looks so much like a suit. I can almost see where the eye holes would be and the middle claw looks like two human fingers bunched together.

Still not 100% in love with the design (or rather select aspects of it), but I'm gonna wait and see just how he looks, moves and "emotes" within the context of the film before I give my final verdict. These "you will NEVER make me change how much I hate this/love that" seems silly since the film hasn't been seen by 99.9% of us yet. I suppose it'll have to be when it's on Blu-ray and we can all pick apart and disect every single frame of G-footage in the movie to make calls on the success or failure of this design. I'm just hopin' we get some longing shots that show off the whole design in loving detail and not just brief pops here and there. Also hoping that all/most of the monster footage isn't just shown from ground (human) perspective, looking up at everything. That will get old fast. I know that there are at least a few overhead/helicopter shots, but still... Uh, guess I should just shut my gob and wait just a few more days...

Less than 2 weeks to go and I'm so hyped up I can hardly stand it!

Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I agree the new G design isn't as beautiful as some of the Toho designs (I still think G2k is my favorite suit ever!) it's an improvement from GINO for sure. He looks quite powerful and I do like the bear features. Although I think his face isn't so great it is closer in shape to the KKvsG suit. I have such ridiculous high hopes for the movie. Please let it not let me down!

The more I see of this design, the more I like it. I think '62, '64, and '54 will always be my favorites, but this one is making its way up there.

Asked r_antrobus of reddit fame a question. (assuming he is telling the truth)

Q: If you had to compare Godzilla's time on screen to another Godzilla movie, which would it be?
That is my only concern with the movie.

A: Eh. Probably around the same total screen time and appearance marks as Godzilla: Final Wars.

I'm okay with this.

I had the honor of watching GMK on the big screen Saturday, and I really do feel like of all the recent Godzilla movies to date, they treated the military the best in this movie.

It was interesting watching this film with a room full of people who were possibly watching it for the first time. It really drew me into the story a lot more. Particularly the internal conflicts over authorization to fight Godzilla, the hopelessness of actually fighting Godzilla, but the duty to complete the mission, etc.

The military can be canon fodder, but treating them as humans is the right thing to do.

^^ nice find. Much better salute than the incompetence of the military in the film that premiered Memorial Day weekend 17 years ago. I'm guessing they'll be effective in driving away mutos. And I found the military extremely effective in godzilla vs biollante and Gamera II. In the former they drive Godzilla's course away from his original trajectory, possibly Tokyo, to the path of least resistance, though he surprises them in Osaka bay. The SXII in Osaka leads him to the intravenous stuff (anti nuclear bacteria shots to the legs and mouth) that ultimately gets him drunk as he wades off rather than returning to decimate japan. And at wakasa they not only heat his temperature but eliminate a saradian operative. Biollante is intelligent because of Erika and likely decided to land at the moment when Godzilla was weakest and drowsy. In the latter the military not only helps Gamera in the final fight with Legion but also manages to divert and kill the swarm. I've heard this film compared to both.

^Anything for mobile iOS? Flash wont work. If not ill wait till I get home tonight.
In my last post where I talked about takarada bring listed in the credits under the first spoiler I also noted the music listed in the credits being elvis and Motown esque 60's which I guessed was cranstons character choice, but I'm guessing this is the actual bgm
